"Tom was wonderful! His work is exceptional, our wallpaper is 19 years old and now looks like new again. He is professional, courteous and very personable, and was happy to work with our schedule to return to complete the work on a second visit. We are completely satisfied and highly recommend his work!"

"The initial response to my Angie's list big deal was prompt.  Sid came to my house to give me an estimate.  Originally he was going to remove wallpaper in 3 bathrooms.  When he saw the areas he kept saying he would do as much as he could then the rest would be more money.  The work was scheduled for early September.  When I contacted Sid in Sept. he was having problems with his truck but he did come on Saturday of that week to do the work.  He started in the master bathroom.  After a little more than 3 hours I checked in.  I was amazed to find only about 2.5 or 3 strips removed.  Sid looked stressed and the room was a mess.  I told him to stop for the day and we could reschedule the remaining hour and he gave me an estimate of $200 to complete the bathroom.  This was not a large area.  I had some difficulty in contacting Sid to schedule the rest of the work and I had to call Angies's List before I got a response from him.  Eventually he came back and removed the rest of the wallpaper.  This time it went smoothly and it took about 5hours.  I then said I did not want anymore paper removed and paid him $200.  This was a frustrating and disappointing experience.

"If you're looking to have a variety of jobs done, don't hesitate to contact Mike - you'll be glad you did! Quality workmanship..fair prices..on time. From a rather tricky plumbing job to fabricating a dock rail Mike did a great job. His expertise and understanding of color was evident as he helped me select paint for the main living area. He and his crew even came at 5AM to finish the job before the movers arrived with our furniture! Great guy who goes the extra mile to be sure it's done and it's done right. It was a pleasure to do business with Accents Plus Painting. We'll call Mike for all future household projects!!"

"I was very impressed on the professionalism and how fast they were able to set up a date with me. I was looking to remodel my bedroom walls and loved how everything turned out. The price was reasonable and honestly the best I could find in the Valley. I have recommended the services to all my family members and hope to get more work done this upcoming summer! Thank you for your excellent work!"

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Because replacing pool tiles requires fully draining your pool, it’s a great opportunity to complete other projects. You may want to replace your pool’s vinyl liner or repair cracks. You might also replace your swimming pool heater or even take on the cost of resurfacing your pool. Resurfacing, although relatively costly, can help prolong the lifespan of your pool.

Yes, you can apply peel-and-stick wallpaper over wood paneling, but it requires significant preparation for a good result. Peel-and-stick wallpaper has a weaker adhesive than traditional wallpaper and works best on smooth, non-textured surfaces like painted or primed drywall. Because wood paneling is often textured with grooves, any flaws in the underlying surface will likely be visible after application. To prepare the paneling, you must ensure the surface is free of cracks, holes, and protrusions by filling any indentations and sanding rough spots to create a smooth surface. An alternative is to remove the paneling and apply the wallpaper directly to the underlying drywall or plaster, provided it is in good condition.

No, you don’t need to apply paint primer to your wall before hanging paintable wallpaper. Manufacturers design paintable wallpaper so that the paint will adhere effectively, so primer isn’t necessary. Plus, even if you opt for a light shade of paint, you won’t have to worry about the shade underneath showing through because you are painting on a light, white surface.

Spring and fall are the best seasons to apply wallpaper because excessively hot or cold temperatures can cause issues with the paste used to attach the paper to the wall. A professional wallpaper hanger can help you decide if your home is too hot, cold, humid, or dry for the wallpaper to stick properly.

Installation typically takes 1-2 weeks, depending on the wall’s size and site conditions.
