"Christan was super nice and professional. Installer Devin was also super nice and professional. Christan helped a lot with the rebate and I would recommend this company to anybody who needs screens. Their prices are competitive and the company offer great services. Since then I had Christan come back and give me another quote for some more screens on a second home we have. She has been again professional and a pleasure to work with. This is a family owned company and I was happy to have used them. Hopefully more customers will hire and give this company their trust. Enchanted customer."

"The initial work was performed while the closing of the house was done but they had to return to fix the balancers in the window so it would slide properly.
I called them shortly after the house closed for them to come Thursday.  They provided me a window from 1 to 5 PM.  At this time they didn't even indicate they would call me before arriving but I was going to be around for most of the day.  No one showed up.
A few weeks later I called to find out what happened and reschedule.  They gave no indication why they didn't show up and again schedule me from 1 to 5 PM on Thursday.  They were aware I was the new owner in both cases.
Somewhere around 2:30 PM the repairmen came and indicated he did not have my phone number on file and wasn't even going to show up.  He indicated this was also the reason he didn't show up before.  Repairmen completed the work in a few minutes and was on his way.
The work seems sound but the lack of professionalism was not."

"I hired him in December but it took until February for him to get here to put it in.  The cost actually came in under the estimated cost.  The installation went poorly.  I told him that we needed a 36" door, thinking that's what my initial contractor put in.  He was able to make the door opening larger, without having to change much.  After putting the door in it looked good, except he had used another casement.  I told him that I would replace it on my own.  I'm now going to have to take down the casement again and adjust the drywall.  The new door leaked the first time we had snow.  This leakage stained the casement, but I think I will still going to be able to use it still."

Egress Windows questions, answered by experts

Yes, egress windows can significantly add value to a home. By making basement and attic areas safer and more livable, they allow you to market these spaces as finished living areas, which increases your property's value. Many homeowners can recover the full installation cost, with some sources citing a return on investment of around 70%. The exact value added depends on your specific home, location, and adherence to local building codes. Beyond financial value, egress windows enhance functionality by adding natural light and comfort. They are also a crucial safety feature, often mandated by building codes to serve as an emergency exit.

Most professionals can enlarge a window in five to 10 hours, depending on the window location, the exterior wall material, how easy it is to cut through it, and how much buildback you’ll need after the installation is complete. However, more complex projects can take two to three days from start to finish.

There are a few ways to save money on egress window installation. First, choosing pre-fabricated windows instead of custom windows can help dramatically reduce the overall cost. In addition, skipping window extras, like customized frames or window film, can help save money on the price tag without sacrificing the window itself. You should also shop around to multiple window installers to find the best installation deal without sacrificing the quality of the window.

New window installation costs range from $300 to $1,500 per window, depending on size, material, and energy efficiency features.

To find and hire a reputable contractor for an egress window installation, you should first research local professionals and then vet your top candidates. Start by searching for local contractors who specialize in this type of work, read their customer reviews, and examine their website and portfolio. Once you have a shortlist, contact them to ask key questions: Are you licensed and insured? What is your specific experience installing egress windows? Can you provide references from previous customers? Do you perform the work yourself or use subcontractors? What is the estimated project timeline and your current schedule? How do you handle payment?
