"Utilizing All Service Moving for the move was a very positive experience. They had good communication, answering several questions prior to the move and did a final confirmation just prior to the move date. As for the physical move itself, Jose, Abraham, and Alberto were polite, diligent, and careful moving the many items, and managed to complete the move more quickly than anticipated."

"From start too finish, the job took too long. Part of the delay was waiting for our HOA to approve my architectural request for the job. The job was a split patio cover type structure for shade on the south side of the house. No cement slab was planned, only cement pads for the support posts. We did not discuss the job length when I agreed to engage Got Your 6 Construction to complete my task. Due to HOA requirements and to comply with Pima County rules, I wanted a Building Permit pulled for the job. John offered to do it and I agreed to pay the costs. Pima County permit process is all online and burdensome. I wanted to pay with a credit card but John was not set up for taking "plastic". There was a delay while he went about obtaining a device for taking an electronic payments. During that time, he went on a short vacation, which I knew about, no problem there. John was working multiple jobs during the time period so work was done a bit at a time instead of continuous. I and my wife are retired so we could be here but most of the time John didn't need us to be here. There were times when John called and said he would be coming to do some work and not show up. On one or two occasions John would schedule and wait for an inspector to show up and they would miss their window and he had to wait longer, not his fault but if he had to reschedule another inspection window, more delay. On several occasions, John had an employee help out while he was taking care of other jobs at a different location. Initial payment to get job moving was on 7/12/19 via a Square Payment device. Final payment at job completion was on 8/13/19. John is a personable and friendly person and easy to talk with. John is knowledgeable but there are a few attention to detail items that could have been done a bit better. In one place the fascia bows out where one of the roof supports is longer than the others. I would have preferred a coat of primer on the wood prior to final painting, but we did not discuss that in advance. For reference, the shade roofs come out 5 feet from the house. One is 21 feet long, the other 12 feet long. All in all, John and his guys did what we asked and agreed to for a reasonable price. I would consider John for future projects."

Moving questions, answered by experts

When planning an out-of-state move, you should aim to save enough money to cover at least two to three months of living expenses, including rent, food, utilities, and transportation. Ideally, saving for six months or more is best, especially if you don't have a job lined up. You also need to budget for the transition costs, such as a moving vehicle rental, hiring movers, and packing materials. Cross-country moves typically cost between $2,400 and $6,860. You can calculate your estimated moving costs in advance based on factors like distance, weight, and the number of bedrooms.

Shared shipping is the cheapest way to move items overseas.

Traveling with your automobile over short distances when moving is typically less expensive than shipping it with a transport company. However, consumers start to break even at around 500 miles. It's typically less costly and worth shipping your car with a professional transport company if the distance you're going exceeds 500 miles.

To transport a bed frame, disassemble it as much as needed and then wrap it with moving blankets or bubble wrap to prevent damage. If you’re transporting the frame in your vehicle, check to ensure it’ll fit before you start. If not, you might need to rent a moving truck or hire professional movers to transport your bed frame to its new home.

You can move a pool table without taking it apart only if you’re moving it a short distance, like from one room to another, and with the help of several people or a professional moving company. But if you’re moving the pool table from one home to another, experts strongly advise you not to move it without taking it apart. If you leave it in one piece, you could risk not only your own personal safety, but also risk damage to the pool table itself. The bumpers could need to be realigned and the slate may have to be re-leveled if you try to move a pool table without taking it apart. In this case, the risk usually doesn’t outweigh the reward.
