"I was totally awestruck by Mike's professionalism, knowledge and honesty. He was able to reassure me that my used computer is in tip top shape and has more memory then I even imagined. He was able to remotely get into my computer to check it out since he is in Arizona and I am in Oklahoma. Normally I would not have allowed this-but thanks to Mikes many tremendous reviews and A Grade I trusted him and do not regret it. In my opinion he deserves an A++! It's been 20 years since I have owned a desktop computer and I'm obviously not tech savvy! Mike did not take advantage of that and was even kind enough to share some info with me free of charge. I have already opened a file (in my filing account with his name on it)! I am making a list of things for him to help me with and will definitely be back in touch with him. I highly recommend Mike's company to anyone looking for an honest, reputable computer repair person."

"One of the hinges on my laptop broke. I really appreciated Maurice's honesty on what the cost would be as well as to be aware of how it should be done. I am in a situation where he helped me greatly. He is very caring person and will put himself in your situation and see how he can help you. Any work on your computer, he will be sure you have no further questions or need to be shown how to do something. I highly recommend him!!!"

"Bob from All American Solutions spent several hours working on my laptop and desktop computers for slow speed issues. They were both very close to being non-usable. Now both computers are working like new! I was charged $99 for each computer, which is an outstanding price for how long this project took. Bob is a wonderful person to work with and so generous with his time. I learned a lot through this experience and wouldn't hesitate to use All American Solutions in the future."

"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

Computer Repair questions, answered by experts

Repairs take 2-6 hours, but extensive frame replacements may extend the timeline.

Costs depend on panel size, labor, permits, wiring materials, and required safety features.

Laptop repair costs vary depending on the parts, make and model, location, and type of repairs needed. The typical cost is between $50 to $150 for standard repairs.

Some laptop repair prices include:

  • Keyboard: $100–$120

  • Water damage repair: $100–$250 or more

  • Fan replacement: $10–$20

  • Hard drive replacement: $100–$200

  • Battery replacement: $30–$200

  • Screen hinge: $40–$90

  • Screen repair: $125–$200

The cost of a repair depends on several factors, including the severity, complexity, and type of damage. Other key elements are the cost of any necessary replacement parts, hardware, materials, or required software updates. Labor rates and whether emergency service is needed will also influence the final price.

Aim for a uniform, smooth joint to ensure a good electrical connection. If it looks crusty and uneven, your iron tip might be dirty or the joint isn’t hot enough. To keep the iron tip clean, wipe the tip with a damp sponge or brass tip cleaner when you spot black spots or rust to remove any oxidation and flux residue. Tinning the tip surface with a small amount of solder offers a layer of additional protection.
