"This company's owner was professional worked with my needs and did not pressured me. Levi ( owner) also provided excellent package of service and warranties. His team was professional and courtesy, they communicated with me through the installation process and educated me of what I need to do. The entire hvac system was replaced in one day. They cleaned up and removed 20 yr old system and trash. I highly recommend this company."

"Matt hung one shade sail in front an one in back. He did a very good job and was congenial and patient when asked to come back to reduce a wrinkle in the front shade, which was cause by buying too large a size. Will hire again if they do roof whirlybird installation.?"

"They had to do some last minute rescheduling which got us off to a late start, but when the team arrived they hauled @ss. They carefully wrapped each piece of furniture and loaded it onto the truck. Nothing was damaged, broken or scratched and everything was clean when they were done. I would call Charles again for any moving job I needed."

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, mulch can attract pests. Spiders, centipedes, and ants are some common pests that are attracted to mulch. You can avoid infestation by laying your bags of mulch in the heat for a few hours or by using an inorganic mulch, as it’s less attractive to pests.

Not only are mice clever, they are also adept at squeezing in tiny cracks to get into your home. Figuring out how rodents are getting in is key to getting rid of mice quickly and humanely. Check these areas for entry points:

  • Basement or crawl space

  • The garage

  • Gaps in the foundation

  • The roof or attic

  • Underneath and around pipes, drains, electrical wiring, and gas lines

  • Around doors and windows

  • Baseboards

  • Kitchen cabinets

  • Behind appliances

  • Air vents

Whether you should stay in the home during a pest control service depends on the type of treatment. Some types allow you to stay, while others such as fumigation will require you to leave your home. The pest control company will provide specific instructions for the type of service that will be done to ensure you follow the proper protocol to keep you and your family safe.

As a general rule, if you hear an animal in your attic, don’t assume it will stay there. Animals are drawn to warmth and food sources, which could lead them to other parts of your house. In particular, it’s likely that small pests such as rats and mice that only need tiny gaps to squeeze through will end up in your walls and ductwork. Larger animals like raccoons may be limited to an enclosed attic.

Roaches have a strong sense of smell and are repelled by a variety of potent aromas. Scents that can help deter them include citrus (such as lemon and orange), herbs like peppermint, mint, basil, thyme, and oregano, spices like bay leaves, cinnamon, clove, and garlic, as well as lavender, eucalyptus, citronella, tea tree oil, and vinegar.

You can use these scents in several ways to create an unwelcoming environment for roaches:

  • Plants: Place mint or lavender plants in your home or garden.

  • Powders and Leaves: Sprinkle garlic powder or place crushed bay leaves and citrus peels in high-risk areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and entry points.

  • Sprays: Create a diluted solution with scents like lemon or vinegar to spray in your home. These can also be used in cleaning products or as room fresheners.

  • Essential Oils: While essential oils of these scents can be used, be cautious as they can be toxic to pets if inhaled.

It is important to note that while these smells can help keep roaches away, they typically do not kill them and may not be enough to drive out an existing infestation entirely. For best results, combine these scent-based deterrents with regular cleaning. Be sure to clean up all food spills, crumbs, and dirty dishes promptly, and keep trash cans covered with a tight-fitting lid to remove potential food sources.
