"This company was great! Hubbard is a true expert in his field. I was so disgruntled with Home Advisor for what happened to me by being billed when no pro showed up or called me but the good thing was that I called Rose Concrete and Restoration and Rose told me she would get me helped ASAP. Boy! She sent a REAL Pro. Home Advisor credited me back the money thankfully so I could pay this company in time to still surprise my husband for a Christmas gift. It all worked out and my garage is so pretty! It looks like an extension of the house. Amazing job!"

"The team was very professional, quick, and provided top-notch work. Mark helped me plan the project and was very knowledgeable about the materials and local market for this type of project, and that showed in the quality and and care put into the project. Will definitely be working with them again on future projects."

"Contacted Tru Cut and they gave me an estimate within 24hrs.  As I requested (hoping more leaves would fall), they waited one week to do the work.  We have a steep driveway with water run-off "ditches" on either side that go behind the garage and down to the lake.  They cleaned the ditches, our driveway/parking pad, and the back yard.  The job was excellent.  Will definitely hire them again.

Retaining Wall Installers questions, answered by experts

To maintain the integrity of your landscape, a retaining wall must be installed if the slope of the angle exceeds 35 degrees. The lean of the wall must be 1 inch per 12 inches in height to disperse the weight of the soil uniformly and guarantee the correct drainage of the soil.

Options include concrete, stone, brick, and wood, tailored for specific design needs.

Rebar is a steel support that goes inside concrete to prevent structural damage over time. Concrete is susceptible to impact, weight, and tension. By inserting rebar into the concrete during the installation, you can help extend its lifespan and avoid hazardous situations where the foundation of your home gives way to tensile forces.

Failure to compact the soil during construction is the most common cause of leaning retaining walls. In addition, poor drainage can lead to excessive water pressure behind a retaining wall, pushing against it until it begins to move forward away from the soil it is holding back.

Each design is different, so we can’t say definitively if you’ll need a dedicated drainage system in place for a two-foot retaining wall. However, you can likely skip the drainage, as this project is typically served for walls that are 4 feet tall or more. Even with a relatively low wall, consider drainage if you are building on top of clay or poor-draining soil types or if there are buried water sources nearby, like a well used for other outdoor garden projects.
