"This provider is a class act. I had a quote from them and decided to use someone else. BAD IDEA!!! To make a long story short, I called JR and asked him if he could help me out of a bad situation. He even came to my house on a Sunday to check on the situation I was in. Then, the next day JR and his crew showed up, poured and finished the concrete and took all my stress away. This is a company that seems to strive on customer satisfaction. They did an awesome job and would highly recommend them to anyone needing patio pads, sidewalks or driveways. Thanks again Planit Dirt, deeply appreciated."

"Rich was great with our schedule and was very flexible. He was punctual and finished the project quickly. He also did a great job minimizing the dust/fumes in our house by placing barriers to control the workspace. We will definitely hire him in the future for drywall/painting projects."

Patios questions, answered by experts

A sunroom is worth installing on a deck, both for the value and your own enjoyment. A Florida room addition costs between $10,000 and $140,000, so it’s pretty expensive. However, a quality sunroom can offer a 50% return on investment, making your home more sellable. Plus, if it’s a space you and your family enjoy relaxing in daily for years to come, it’s worth the money, time, and effort, even without the added monetary value.

There are many materials to choose from, including picket fencing, wood slats, galvanized metal skirting, dog-ear fence panels, scallop wood fence panels, bamboo screens, and other decorative screens. You can search for materials at local big box stores like Home Depot or scour online home improvement sites. Good search terms to use are fencing, skirting, and privacy panels.

A professional can design and construct sunrooms or patio enclosures that meet structural standards, optimize environmental conditions, and integrate seamlessly with existing architecture. This ensures the project enhances home value and provides long-term enjoyment.

Yes, it can be worth screening a porch if you live in an area with beautiful weather, since it allows you to enjoy your outdoor space longer in the spring and summer. The additional protected space may even attract more prospective buyers if you intend to sell—especially if you add seasonal features, like a ceiling fan for summer or a heater to winterize your screened porch.

Your maintenance needs revolve around the type of foundation you choose, as well as how you furnish or decorate it. Patios require little else other than the occasional hose-down, but decks and other wooden structures will require annual power washing and sealing. You may also need to restain the wood every two to three years.

Adding a solid roof rather than building a pergola or leaving the space open will make maintenance much easier. Without a roof, you will need to spend more time sweeping, washing, and covering your furniture to protect it from UV bleaching.
