"Mr. Wesley backed into several projects, finished out a deck, built and installed kitchen cabinets, replaced flooring in bathroom - removing and replacing vanity and commode and replacing faucet, installed flooring, installed hallway floors and door trim. "When the old doors were out, they discovered the subfloor along with the threshold was rotted. They went the extra mile and fixed the problem and installed the new French doors. I am extremely pleased and appreciate all the extra effort they had to take to get the new doors in. French doors can seal better, so a good quality, well-insulated French door will be more energy efficient than the best insulated sliding door. That’s because there’s no way to totally seal a sliding door and still allow it to slide past the jamb effectively.

Soft-close hinges are worth it if the benefits are a top priority. The biggest benefit of soft-close hinges is that they reduce stress on the cabinet frames, and extending the longevity of these pricey furnishings is a worthwhile investment.
