"The front yard was done - and cleaned up promptly. He removed quite a few bushes and limbs in the back yard several weeks ago - and has never been back - with no good explanation at all - what he offered about why he hadn't returned sounded made up. The moral of is this is what we should have done - gotten a contract, see if he was bonded, see if he was dependable. After several weeks - I called him and is was extremely agigated with me and hung up. Is that how you treat a customer???? Both me and my partner are handicapped seniors and we've learned a good lesson."

Tree roots can take weeks to years to die, depending on the method you use. If your tree’s leaves are yellowing, wilting, or dropping leaves, it’s likely that you’re overwatering. Other common signs include rotting, fungi, soggy soil, soft or peeling bark, falling leaves, and brittle roots. 

If you realize that you’ve been overwatering your mature tree, stop watering and give the soil time to dry out. Then moving forward, increase time between watering sessions. 

Your local government is usually in charge of pruning trees on public property, and the power company is responsible for trees near power lines (even if they’re on your property).
