Depending on the season, Sherpa Tree Service typically has 1 or 2 employees who function as "groundies" to Grady the climbing arborist. We also offer 24/7 EMERGENCY removal of trees and fallen limbs after storms. Brush chipping, disposal of all debris, and a thorough cleanup is included in tree removal. We strive to leave your property looking cleaner than we found it. If you want stump grinding, Sherpa Tree Service will sub-contract stump grinding to a specialized service but can accomplish this on our own if equipment rental is cost effective. In an effort to steward our planet well we recycle 100% of our collected organic materials with Risse Greenhouses so it can be processed into locally developed topsoil and garden mulch. We also use emissions-free electric chainsaws whenever possible and favor biodegradable products. Our paper-reducing, tree-loving billing and estimates are delivered digitally. A dry lawn is easier to edge than a wet one. When your ground is wet, your blades will likely clump together, making a seemingly even cut while wet, but an uneven disaster when dried. Also, a wet lawn can impact your blade's performance and cause mud to kick up, resulting in a messy finish.

While most stains will be dry to the touch within 12 hours, it can take up to 48 hours to fully cure. That means that while your stain might not be sticky within 12 hours, it’s still not recommended to get it wet or touch it until it’s had a chance to set for at least 24 to 48 hours.

Stains penetrate wood best when it's cool and dry, so you want to avoid moisture. If the wood is wet upon application, or if it rains before the stain dries, the water will soak into the wood and displace the staining solution. This leads to a flaky and blotchy look, which is the opposite of a sumptuous even coat. Once the stain has fully cured, after about 3 days, rain shouldn’t cause you any problems.

If you don’t treat a cedar fence, it will turn from reddish brown to gray over time. You can keep the cedar from graying and retain its attractive, deep red color by sealing your cedar fence with a stain that keeps the wood’s oils in and serves as a barrier against the sun’s UV rays.

You should wait three to six months after you buy it to paint pressure-treated wood. It needs time to dry from the chemicals applied to it. The paint will not adhere to the treated wood as well if it’s still wet from chemicals. To test the wooden boards, drip water onto them. If the wood absorbs the water, it’s ready for painting. If the water beads up, it’s not dry enough to paint yet. You can build your deck or fence while the treated wood is still wet, but you’ll need to paint it later.
