"Although he was late, due to some scheduling conflicts, it worked in my better interest and schedule for the day. A note important for overall service, but no personal issue for me and my service on 25 May 10. I was thoroughly pleased with the carpet cleaning services rendered by Mr Ellis. He was very personable and likable. A hometown, neighborly friend type of guy. He was quick with his treatment and the results were better than I anticipated. I would recommend Mr Ellis and his services to any friend, family member or collegue getting ready to move from the Ft Wainwright/Fairbanks/North Pole Region."

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

No, you shouldn’t let dog diarrhea dry before cleaning it. While cleaning the stain when it's dried sounds less messy, it can cause more harm than good. Old stains have a chance to dry into your carpet, and the smell can go deeper into the fibers. This makes removing old dog poop more of a headache to clean than dealing with diarrhea while it’s fresh.

Yes. A good mixture to condition your leather is made from one tablespoon of natural baby soap, a splash of vinegar, and 2 cups of warm water. Mix these ingredients in a bowl and use a microfiber cloth to rub it into the leather in small circles.

You can apply the same technique with a mixture of one part vinegar and two parts linseed oil. Once you’ve applied this to leather with a cloth, let it sit for 10 minutes before buffing with a small cloth.

Yes, vinegar can remove poop stains. How long the poop sits on your carpet will determine how many rounds of solution you’ll need and the length per round. One round should be enough if you’re dealing with a fresh stain, but more stubborn stains might require longer rounds. If you prefer a more effective way to remove dog poop, consider an enzyme cleaner that can break down both stains and odor.

Wool rugs respond well to light steam cleaning. Steam cleaning can help lift the dirt out of a wool rug and eliminate odors. However, because wool rugs are so absorbent, excessive moisture can lead to mold and mildew growth, so you’ll need to be cautious with the amount of steam being used, and avoid steam cleaning more than once a year to protect the rug’s fibers.

Not all outdoor cushions can stand up to the harsh chemicals in bleach. Outdoor cushions are made to be weatherproof and withstand harsh UV lights. Bleach can weaken those properties and ruin your furniture.
