The tree fell exactly where he said he'll put it. He was running about 1/2 hrs late but I didn't mind understanding that things don't always go as predicted.

First time I called to get an estimate, they failed to arrive when planned, which was the reason I gave them a 'B' for responsiveness.  Several days later I called Erik again.  He was very apologetic and came out that day to give us an estimate.  He made all the arrangements to have the power turned off and the cables dropped.  He arrived on time and began cutting the smaller trees.  Two other helpers arrived a little later and finished the job including trimming the branches, removing them from the yard, cutting the trunks into 4 foot sections and stacking them.  We were completely satisfied with his work and would not hesitate calling him again.

Erick Johnson, owner and lead cutter, returned our call, came out, and gave a firm quote promptly on 8/16/2013.  We set up the appointment for 1300 on Monday 8/19/2013.  They (Eric and 2 others) arrived promptly, and went to work.  They were quick and always operated safely.  They used a long pike pole to control where the trees would fall.  They worked so fast, my neighbor and I were very impressed. After they cleaned up all the brush and raked the area, one could not tell they had been here.

Beautiful job, Erik was absolutely right about the tree being rotten in the center.  He did a great job of getting it down, a job that looked impossible to me.

Eric and crew were out here last year to cut down several  trees and brush. I was very impressed with everybody's work and professionalism. I asked Eric to come out again this year; they cut down more trees and brush. They do excellent work, clean up the area and the cost is very reasonable. I've asked Eric and crew to come out again before summer is over to cut more brush back in another area as well. I can highly recommend Eric and crew for any/all work they do. Great job!.

They were responsive on the phone, showed up for the estimate on time. The job was very reasonably priced and well done. Erik stayed in contact with me throughout the process in case I had any concerns or questions.
Great experience, I would use them again.

Erik is responsive, great rates, will come out on short notice. The only issue is the actual appointment time, he has been delayed once or twice in coming out, but will call and inform us, and frankly as he is plowing we don't need to be present and have simply mailed him a check after he came, plowed, and left while we were out.

After a wind nocked trees down in our subdivision I wanted those in our yard that appeared weak to me "dropped" safely.  We agreed they would stop by after a job and give me an estimate.  They called to say that they had finished early and could they come early, I said yes.  They said that the two cottonwoods I was concerned with didn't fall to the wind because they were still in good health and that I should be concerned about three of the big spruce trees because there had been equipment damage years ago and ants had gotten in and weakened them.  That was not something I new about.  We agreed on $350 to drop seven trees - two were in the path of those being dropped.  As the owner and I were trying to agree on when the foreman said "do it now and we won't have to come back".  We agreed and they did.   That was the easy part, turning it into firewood and brush piles was my turn.

Erik came and gave me a free estimate.  He was very professional and I could tell he knew what he was doing.  He explained what I would need moved (some portable fencing) so that he could fell the trees without damaging my property.  He looked for overhead power lines.  He talked to me about removal or whether I wanted to keep the wood for a fireplace.  I wanted the wood removed.
We agreed on a date.   Later, I realized that the date wouldn't work for me and I called to reschedule.  It was easy to contact Erik and he was quite flexible in accommodating my schedule.
On the day we agreed to, he was to arrive at 8am.  He called me before 8am to let me know that a piece of equipment was broke and he was getting it repaired and would be late.  I understand that things like this happen and appreciated the timely call.
When he and his crew arrived. they were friendly yet professional.  They went right to work cutting down the trees.  They had a chipper and cleaned up the brush and removed the wood.  They were done and gone within 4 hours of arrival.
The only thing I would say is to be sure to discuss whether or not you want the chips removed.  I don't remember discussing chips with Erik during the estimate.  However, it was not a big problem for me because I have a lot of acreage.  I think I can use them somewhere on the property.  However, If you have a small lot, you probably would want the brush removed rather than having them use the chipper -- unless you have some use for the chips (compost, garden, etc.)
I would highly recommend this service.  They were great.  I have some other trees that need removing and I will definitely call them again.
