"Teresa is very thorough at her job. She did an excellent job cleaning my house. She is a bit expensive, but I wanted the job done well and she delivered. She was a little late the first day because her bus driver did not show up and caused her to wait for a new driver and she brought her service dog with her as well. The dog was sweet and well behaved. Teresa does a very deep clean so I was willing to be flexible. For instance, she will scrub things like baseboards and window sills until they are clean. She knows how to use elbow grease! Overall, I was very satisfied with the level of cleaning Teresa did. I did go behind her and see a few spots she missed (a baseboard in the hall, some pictures that needed dusting) when cleaning my large 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom home. I pointed these out and she very willingly did the touch ups. She asked me several times if I was happy with her work and gave me the opportunity to let her know if I wanted anything else done. She aims to please! I would hire Teresa again for a deep cleaning."

Window Cleaning questions, answered by experts

In Anchorage, be cautious of window cleaning contractors who offer vague service details, lack written agreements, or refuse to provide proof of insurance. Watch for quotes that are significantly lower than others, as this may indicate shortcuts or lack of experience with local challenges like ice removal. Reliable professionals will outline their cleaning process, address weather-related scheduling, and offer clear guarantees for both window washing and cleanup.

Helpful?

In Anchorage, window cleaning contractors range from residential window washing specialists to commercial high-rise experts familiar with local building codes. Some focus on seasonal cleaning to address winter grime and pollen buildup, while others offer bundled services like glass cleaning, gutter maintenance, and pressure washing. Specialty contractors in Anchorage also handle post-construction cleanup, solar panel washing, and hard water stain removal unique to the region’s mineral-rich water.

Helpful?

Anchorage’s climate means window cleaning requires attention to mineral deposits from melting snow, volcanic ash, and salt residue. Homeowners should schedule window washing at least twice a year—ideally in spring and fall—to remove buildup and prevent etching on glass. Inspect screens, seals, and frames for moisture damage or drafts, and consider an extra cleaning after windstorms or heavy ash events to maintain clear, damage-free windows.

Helpful?

In Anchorage, regular window cleaning can noticeably improve your home’s curb appeal, especially after harsh winters that leave residue and streaks. Clean, streak-free windows maximize natural light during shorter daylight months, making interiors feel brighter and more inviting. Maintaining spotless glass and window frames signals to buyers that the property is well cared for, which can help your home stand out in the local real estate market.

Helpful?

Before window cleaning in Anchorage, check the forecast for sudden temperature drops or wind, which are common even in late spring. Clear snow, ice, and debris from window areas and trim back any overgrown shrubs. If you have storm windows, arrange for their removal in advance. Confirm your contractor’s insurance, ask about their experience with local weather, and move fragile items away from windows to prevent accidental damage.
