"Kehl and Window Man was excellent and did a phenomenal job cleaning all of our windows, many of which were in hard to reach (high) places, and he did it in the winter! Can't say enough about this guy and the quality of his work which was featured on the Discovery Channel!"

"I originally hired Yegor to paint my house, garage and sheds. Yegor went above and beyond what I could ever imagine. The siding on the back of my house was deteriorating due to years of exposure to the sun. Yegor removed all the old siding then waterproof everything before putting up the new siding. He also replaced some of the boards on the bottom that were water damaged. He made the front of my house more decorative and installed an additional outside light and a new screen door as well as building two new porches. Everything is top notch. I am very pleased with the work Yegor did and I would highly recommend him."

Window Cleaning questions, answered by experts

You should avoid using abrasive materials and harsh chemicals when cleaning windows. Abrasive tools like scrubbing pads, rough cloths, or steel wool can permanently scratch and damage the glass. Harsh chemical cleaners containing alcohol or ammonia can damage window treatments, frame materials, and special features like tinting. It is also best to use distilled or filtered water instead of hard water, which can leave spots or streaks. For best results, use a clean microfiber cloth to wash the glass and old black and white newspapers to dry it without leaving streaks.

Whether you tip before or after a carpet cleaning depends on when you’re available. If you’re home when they finish up, you can give them their tip after. However, if you need to leave before they’re done or if you won’t be home at all, you can prepare the tip beforehand and leave it for them in an envelope.

Professional window cleaners typically use either a white vinegar solution or a commercial hard water stain remover to clean hard water stains on windows. A common vinegar solution for this purpose consists of one cup of white vinegar mixed with a gallon of distilled or bottled water. The pro will spray the mixture and lightly scrub the window with a scrubby pad before cleaning with a standard cleaning solution. Alternatively, they may use a commercially available hard water stain remover and a scrubby pad, followed by a complete cleaning.

Pros offer comprehensive cleaning that addresses areas you might overlook, ensuring an immaculate home.

The easiest way to remove window decals is to soak the area in hot, soapy water. Let it sit for 15 minutes before scraping it with a plastic scraper or the edge of a credit card. You can also remove window decals with white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, or applying heat from a hairdryer or steam cleaner.
