"Jamal and his team did an excellent job. They came promptly, were courteous, helped us pick the paint color, and completed the job rapidly. They painted the back of the house with two coats, and filled in all the broken bricks. The back of the house looks much better now. They helped us pick the lead for the gutter, and even replaced it when we didn't like the color. They are really a pleasure to work with, and did such a good job that we have already hired them again.

"The contractor was amazing. Always on time. They were clean and neat. I had my floors sanded and stained. Lighting fixtures installed. Vent installed in bathroom. Interior rooms painted. All work was done in a timely fashion. There were no “surprises” during the work. They kept me up to date during the process. The paint was done crisp with clean lines, no bleeding. There were flaws in my flooring and the stain they suggested worked like magic to make it flawless. All the lighting fixtures were replaced with expertise. No cuts or holes around them. Everything lined up perfect. I can give praise to this team all day. They were reasonably priced and worth every penny.

"We were looking to have an upstairs bathroom redone in our home. After doing our homework and interviewing several contractors and getting estimates, and still not feeling comfortable choosing the right contractor, we finally came across Danny from DM Contracting & Restoration, Inc. Danny came to our home and gave us an estimate, thoroughly explaining all the details pertaining to the job, costs, and timeline. We immediately felt we could trust Danny, call it instinct, but we felt comfortable with Danny and after speaking with him felt that he was the right contractor to do the job. He had excellent credentials, he was licensed, and he and his crew had excellent reviews. We can say with all honesty that the crew from D & M were excellent, hard-working talented craftsmen that are a rare find in today’s climate. They never stopped working for a minute and were on time each day and even worked longer than planned some days. Their work was far beyond our highest expectations and we couldn’t have been happier with the beautiful remodeling of our bathroom. The workers from D & M were respectful, honest, neat, and skillful beyond words. We were so happy with the bathroom remodeling that we decided to have Danny and his crew put pavers in our backyard. Of course, we had the same excellent outcome when the pavers were completed by the crew – perfect job and another beautiful addition to our home! At that point, we decided to have Danny and his crew replace all the hardwood floors on the first floor in our home. That was another perfect job – no more squeaks when we walked on the floors and it completed transformed the look of our home! DM Contracting pulled up the old floors and did it the right way instead of just putting the new wood over the old floors. They do not take shortcuts but will always remodel your home with skill and precision so that you get many years of wear and lasting enjoyment. We are going to have Danny and his crew come back in the spring to put all new wood flooring on the second floor of the house, as that is how much we liked the results of the job they did on the first floor! DM Contracting & Restoration, Inc.'s prices are very fair if you are working on a budget and you are certainly getting quality at the same time. "What we expected to be an 8-week project ballooned into a 16-week project, delayed largely by rainy weather and perhaps some mis-scheduling on the company's end as it juggles multiple projects. Be aware that your project's projected timeframe may very likely be extended; Abedin is in high demand. This was the most frustrating part of the process, having the project at a standstill with a large 3-storey scaffolding out front blocking sunlight and bags of cements and other work items in the courtyard. However, whenever I did call Abedin to find out the status and when work would resume, he was readily accessible and responsive. The craftsmanship is exemplary and it's apparent that the workers are highly skilled and take great pride in their work. I also greatly appreciated that the workers cleaned the site daily after working. This is HUGELY important because the worksite is also my home and not an uninhabited construction site. This meant a great deal to me and Abedin was often on site or sent a supervisor on site to assist and inspect. Abedin is hands-on and has high standards, which keeps the works not only focused and accountable, but motivated. Here's an important tip: where possible, throughout the process, protect your historic fence and railings with a drop cloth because they, like the courtyard's surface, will be battered. Abedin promised to repaint after the work was completed and his guys did, but the repainting job did not match the quality of restoration work we had previously paid for with the ironwork restoration contractor. Despite the setbacks and extended project time, my husband and I are extremely happy with our restoration project and the craftsmanship. Our brownstone looks completely transformed and historic and beautiful! Should we have future brownstone restoration needs, Abedin will definitely be our choice. Thank you.

"They arrived at the time they said they would. They did cement and sheet metal work during a heat wave in August. The work was completed in one day. I asked them to come back in a few days to do waterproofing under the porch. They came back and did the job. They noticed the steps leading to the cellar were cracked and needed waterproofing. They took care of the steps at no additional cost. I have no complaints about the work performed.
