This is a follow-up to my 8-19-2021 comment. Since the insurance was not taken out on my behalf Dawn did come through and help me with the things that were damaged and or lost. The fact that the movers cost me more than double then was quoted is still a shock to me. Overall Dawn did an amazing job and I could not have made it to where I am without her help. She runs a tight ship and is very very good at what she does

Jay Schmidt Group of Keller Williams

After a string of bad realtors (late to appointments with no courtesy call, unresponsiveness to questions) I broke a contract to take a chance on the Jay Schmidt group I heard about through someone's recommendation. Best decision I could have made. Janine and her team made time right away to examine my property, inform me what they would do better based upon my previous listing and set out right away to improve on every facet of my listing from photos, to home improvements, to returning calls and texts in a prompt fashion. The Jay Schmidt group never wavered in their intensity to stay on top of the market and aggressively pursue getting my house sold in one month during what I'm told is a typically slow winter season. Every point of the transaction I knew who to call and what to take care of from that call from listing to final closing, and their guidance will prove invaluable to anyone motivated to sell quickly and efficiently. Trust their advice when preparing your home for sale. The contrast between the honest work they did and the two realtors that came before them is staggering

Molly was great to work with. She was friendly and up-front about what she could do for our space. She charged us $250 for the room and light-design for the basement, and then $65 per hour for her in-home design work on the other spaces, and she worked hard during all her time here! She was very dedicated to reusing what we already had, and quot;shoppingand quot; from the rest of the home to fill in the blanks and make the space looked finished. She made sure to honor our design aesthetic, such as it was, and to suggest items we may wish to purchase to finish the spaces. In the end we have two rooms that still look like and quot;us,and quot; but a much more polished, warm, and friendly version of us

Bill was wonderful!! He came over and made some great suggestions to get me started. He came back a week later to stage to house and turn it from a bachelor pad to a lover's nest. With the exception of a few new pieces, he was able to use everything I already had. Looking forward to calling him when I get into my new office space to make sure it looks presentable to all future meetings with new/existing clients. Thanks Bill!

HOME STAGING CONSULTANTS, LLC

My husband and I saw Mary Inden (owner of Home Staging Consultants) at the Home Remodeler's Show when she gave a presentation at State Fair Park. We were very impressed with her "before and after" photos and picked up her business card. Late last winter, my husband and I decided that we wanted to sell our home in the next year or two and gave her a call. Mary was so easy to work with. She told us right away that she wasn't an interior decorator but would tell us what needed to be done to sell the home quickly. Our home had been well maintained but needed some updating as we had lived there 23 years. Mary explained that most people want to move into a house that has already been updated. They over-estimate how much something costs and automatically deduct that from the price of the house. Buyers might think that replacing the carpet will cost $3000 but if you do it for only $1000 you've made the negotiating of the sale price simpler and cleaner. Mary came to our home and walked from room to room. I took notes of her suggestions. She stopped at the jewelry box on my dresser and turned it 45 degrees. Wow, it looked so much better - why hadn't I seen that before? Many of her suggestions were simple like that. Others involved more work..... Such as updating light fixtures and hardware, removing window treatments and painting walls etc. Most of the work my husband and I were able to do ourselves and it was comforting to work off Mary's list. Mary even met me at a local lighting store for an hour to help me pick out new light fixtures. With her measuring tape she knew what the perfect size and style was for each spot. Fortunately, we had updated our kitchen two years earlier so that looked great. But, we knew that we needed to update our master bathroom. I had had two bathroom specialists come and give us ideas and bids. Wow, very expensive. Mary said that we didn't need to do most of the things they had suggested. We updated the counter, sink and toilet for a fraction of the cost of what the renovation could have cost. Mary encouraged us to switch the furniture in the master bedroom with the guest bedroom. I didn't want to but my husband said "let's try, it won't cost anything, and if we don't like it we can always move it back." Well, it looked so much better! Why didn't I think of that myself. Mary had a great eye for things like like that. As my husband and I checked off things on her "to do list", we realized that if we worked hard, we could even get the house on the market by late spring. Which we did. Some of our furniture was very dated and Mary encouraged us to rent some furniture and artwork just before we listed the house. She explained that people look at photos on-line and if photos looked dated, buyers assume the rest of the house is not up to date and might not bother to visit. The last thing Mary did was to "go shopping in my cupboards". She pulled out books, bowls and other things that I already had, and tastefully decorated with them. Three months after Mary first came to our home we put it up for sale. Six weeks later we had an accepted offer. We are so grateful for Mary's practical suggestions and thoughtful ideas. She was fun to work with, never pushy. She saved us from a lot of mistakes, kept us on track and kept me from second guessing my decisions. I am convinced that if it weren't for Mary's help, our house wouldn't have sold so quickly for that price

This was a great experience -- I would recommend anyone who is selling their home to stage it for best possible showings and best possible offers. Do this right away before actually listing your home for sale so that the photos taken by your realtor will show your home in the best possible light. Also make sure to do any needed repairs before listing. It is amazing how much personal stuff that you think is cute or decorative is detracting to potential buyers. Caroline and Molly can swiftly determine what is attractive about your home and what is detracting. They also really enjoyed getting to know us and what was important to us about this home while helping us let go of our personal attachments. A totally awesome experience!

With movers present Room Revival helped figure out furniture placement. After the movers left, in no time at all we put together a nice furniture placement and a few touches to make it fell really like home. This is somethig I would not have known how to do. Even though the house is still filled with boxes, I feel at home. I will definitely be calling Bill back to do the final edits and help with picture hanging and recommendations on my new homes flow
