Energy Masters LLC
About us
The difference is in the details. I assess problems and I find solutions or I don't take the job. If I can't solve the problem, I'll tell you. My background in energy efficiency is important for roofing, windows, siding and insulation. I'm the only guy around that does gutters and has flood water management experience and that has saved some of my customers thousands in costly basement repair work. My ventilation certification helps to minimize ice dams and can reduce your summer cooling bills. I'm happy to share my insight with my customers. Give us a call to set up an appointment.

"We investigated the leak and discovered it was from the fan window above our work. We offered to caulk that for free but your daughter, who met us, declined. We have done a thousand of these windows and never had a problem. Your willingness to believe another contractor who up-sold you by badmouthing us and then charged you double even though he used the same window we installed, was the problem. On your 4th email I personally went out and met your daughter. You had requested more caulk each time and to no surprise, the caulk on top of caulk you requested did not look pleasant. As a service to you, I video'ed every possible water penetration around that window and posted it on youtube for you to see that it was impossible for water to make it through our work. I then investigated the attic window above it and saw large cracks in the old caulk. I agreed to caulk it for free but your daughter, having seen with her own eyes, declined. I asked if she was sure, because while I was there with an open tube of quality caulk I would do it for FREE, but if I had to come back to do it, I would charge $200. She was sure. She even climbed our ladder as we held it to confirm that there were no gaps in the trim or the caulk. To address the claims of your other contractor -- 1) The trim was installed in the same manner as all of the other windows in your house. 2) The easier install would have been to set the window further toward the outside. You were planning to tile inside and did not want much of a sill in your shower so my installers, without additional cost to you, mounted it further to the inside. This is a common install technique in older homes where retrofit bathrooms are being installed. 3) The stops were proper and the caulk we used was Quad by OSI. It is a high quality caulk that is used by professionals and due to its reliability, is the main caulk carried by supply houses that serve contractors. 4) There were no missed spots. "We are happy to have been able to help. It's not often that I pull up to a job with the roof that has been torn off and it is without shingles. In fact, I can count the times on my fingers. Something about what happened to you by the contractor who left your home without any protection through those heavy rainstorms, leaves me scratching my head. We are glad to have been able to give you a solution and a positive outcome. Please don't hesitate to call if I can be of further assistance now or in the future."
"Thank you. It is heartening to see that you had an appreciation for the details. If there's anything else we can do for you, please call on us."

"I think it was about 3 years ago that we originally met and I'm glad we stayed on the same page. The addition, combined with some unconventional, yet innovative building materials, will keep your family dry for years to come. I appreciate that you took a measured and long-term view. When we first met, I didn't feel the suggestions of other contractors would ever solve the problem that existed. Now, not only will your daughter have the coolest closet of all the kids in the neighborhood, but the new roof will last you for years to come. If there's anything else I can do for you, please don't hesitate to give me a call."
