Jim and his crew are amazing. He explained each phase of my summer improvement project and reviewed the options, explaining why he approached each task as he did. Every part of the job was done to high standards and the people who work for him are top tier at what they do. Even the neighbors were impressed at the efficiency and quality of the work that was done. The new insulation in the space above the family room has resulted in a more comfortable home overall now that heat can no longer enter or escape through that empty inaccessible space. The garage looks almost new again as issues caused by decisions at the time of the original build have been addressed. I expect it to stay that way for many years. The money invested in these improvements is paying off in savings from heating and cooling bills as well as maintaining the value of the property with the work done on the garage. I will definitely hire again for the upcoming year's "summer project".

Jim and Kennedy came and every thing was well explained. The gentleman that replaced the gutters was professional and a diligent worker. He kept me informed and talked to me about problem branches that need to be pruned. Upon completion of the gutters he showed around and was assuring about how well the gutters would work for me. Jim came to my house in West Allis, and was extremely helpful, and kind. He gave us excellent advice as to the things that we should tackle first in this fixer-upper. He was honest about the insulation job that we asked him to quote. He was unbelievably helpful when discussing this over-100-year-old home, and explained to us why people did the things they did in those days, and the types of renovations that were common then, which has helped us so much in planning our renovation. Matter of fact, he knew exactly where we'd need to repair flooring underneath the carpeting - and, he was right-on!! I consider him a forensics expert on old homes!!! Thanks Jim and thanks Kennedy!!

Great job! Installers were out within a week. Quick, professional and clean work

At the end of June, installers from Energy Masters installed a glass block window in our second floor bathroom which we were remodeling. On July 7, during a rainstorm, the window began to leak. We contacted them and they said they would come out and repair which they did on July 8. On July 9, in another rain, the window leaked again. We contacted them and they came and added more caulk on July 10. On July 27, with another rain came more leaking and more caulk. On August 3, with another rain came more leaking. At that point I asked if the window install might be the problem and he said he would come and look at it. He came and added more caulk, said the leak was caused by an attic window above - however, we had never had a problem prior to this. He came and added more caulk and said that if he was called again, he would charge us $200 additional for the call. Since we had already paid $1,190, we did not believe giving him more money would solve the problem and needed to find a new contractor. This contractor found rotting wood under the poorly installed window and aluminum that had been poorly wrapped. The person who came to reinstall the windows wrote that: "In our professional opinion there were many faults to this install. 1. The aluminum trim that was installed was not done correctly. 2 The window should’ve been set further to the outside. 3.Proper stops and sealant should’ve been used for the glass block. 4. The caulking was very sloppy and had missed spots." They noted that the window had never set and was easily removed from the previous install. We have many pictures of the bad install but are unsure how to add them. Mr. McGuigan responded after I reported the fact that we had to have the window reinstalled and sent pictures from the reinstall. When he asked what he could do, I asked for our money back. He never responded to that request.

Excellent service! The job was promptly and expertly performed to replace a roof and gutters on a side by side townhouse unit. The roof looks beautiful and most importantly has solved the leakage issues that had been occurring. Pricing was very reasonable and competitive. All in all we highly recommend Energy Masters and its owner Jim who has become our go-to roofer for the condominium association with six side by side townhouses and two single family homes!

In November of 2019, Jim of Energy Masters visited us and showed us what patio doors they had available with the pricing for each. He walked us through features and qualities so we could make an informed decision. We selected one we liked for its style and security as well as its price. He was also completely up front about the fact that we were coming into the off season and the manufacturers would not be producing until a bit later; we were fine with waiting until early to mid-winter before the new doors would be available. We locked in the pricing and paid the down payment. The patio door arrived in early February 2020 and was properly and efficiently installed by two workers in just less than 5 hours, despite it being a terribly cold day! We love our doors. They are worry-free and completely secure, and open up the view into our back yard. We felt that the professionalism and courtesy of the sales people as well as the professionalism, courtesy, and workmanship of the installers was first class. We knew we'd do business with Energy Masters again. (See our next review about the gutter guards!)

Because of overhanging trees, we had a lot of debris in our gutters--leaves, twigs, even dirt. After a few times scooping out all this gunk so the gutters would work properly plus witnessing water overflow off the sides, we contacted Energy Masters to see what our options were. We were leaning toward gutter guards, but also weren't sure how our gutters were really holding up. With every precaution met for social distancing and masks, Jim showed us the effectiveness of the gutter guards that Energy Masters carries for sales & installation. We were also offered a complete roof and gutter inspection at a very reasonable rate. We accepted this because we wanted a complete picture of what was going on. Jim did a video recording of his entire inspection, which he sent to us and also talked through with us. He saw both good things and things to watch out for that the home inspector didn't catch when we bought the house. We were fully informed as to what we could do now and what we can consider later on. A really excellent commentary--Jim knows his business! We contracted for gutter guard installation and the work was finished properly and efficiently soon thereafter. We have a large house and yet it was entirely done in just a couple hours. We feel that the price offered for the gutter guard installation was reasonable, and that the sales employee and the installation employees were all courteous, professional, and properly performing their jobs while practicing the required social distancing requirements due to the COVID virus situation. We will do business with Energy Masters again when the time comes to replace the gutters and roof!

They did good work, it was done fast and the yard was cleaned up after. Jim used a roller magnet to pick up any loose nails in the yard.

I was very impressed with this company. Jim and his son were respectful and polite. Jim gave me some excellent advice on how to deal with my house problems and gave me contacts for people who could help me.

needed to find cause of roof leak near 2nd floor bath and inspect plywood water stains near attic ventilator. contractor determined leak is caused by leaking pvc boot flashing on roof where pvc pipe goes through roof. water stains on underside of plywood sheathing determined to be old and not current. no fix needed. contractor orally quoted $1200.00 to replace pvc boot flashing for vent pipe and reseal with caulk nail heads on other roof vents as neccesary as i requested. WAY TOO MUCH $$$ FOR A $12-$15 boot and 1 or 2 tubes of caulk. 1 or 1- 1/2 hrs work for $1200.00??? NO WAY!!!

There were leaks in the roof and I contacted Jim. He came out, assessed everything and advised me as to the best way to fix everything. I needed a complete tear-off, re-deck and a new roof. He recommended the shingles and the underlayments. (I do not know the technical terms) and he explained what each product did and how it would perform. He even took some pictures of the existing shingles and even I could tell they were in terrible shape. Over 20 years old. And since my chimney was not connected to anything, they removed the chimney from the roof and sealed it. The repairs were all completed in ONE day! The cleanup was immaculate! I was VERY impressed. Energy Masters was not the cheapest quote I got, but was the best option by far. Jim spent time with both me and my wife explaining the materials, giving us options, and going into detail about what the job would entail so we could feel like an educated consumer when it was time to make a decision. There were some issues with scheduling due to us having one of the rainiest and coldest seasons on record, but Jim was communicative and kept us up to date on when our job would be done. The crews were extremely professional and friendly. They worked quickly and left no trace they were there other than our shiny new gutters and roof. We couldn't have been more pleased with Energy Masters. I liked their work so much that I'm calling them again this week to have more work done on our home!

I couldn't be happier with our choice to use Energy Masters for our gutter replacement. The Project was completed one week after signing contract! There was one small misunderstanding in services to be performed and even though it was probably my not understanding correctly, Jim resolved the concern right away without any additional cost to me. Amazing. Jim and his son have great attention to detail and expertise, which is exactly what you want when you are replacing one of the most important parts of your house! Additionally, these guys were able to fit me in at the very end of the year, and were able to tear off and replace the roof all in the same day! Jim sent 2 of his crews (wow! these guys work hard) out to make sure it would happen in time. Incredible customer service, highly recommend!

Jim & his son arrived right on time. They explained everything they were looking at, why they were looking at it, & what could be the potential problems as they were troubleshooting/diagnosing the problem. Our fix ended up being something fairly simple, in the grand scheme, & they charged us very reasonably for the time spent & the kind of fix it ended up being. Jim was a wonderful person to work with, he answered all of our questions, & addressed our concerns. He gave us great advice & we know that if we need any further help we are going to call him! I would highly, highly recommend Jim & his company to anyone who needs roofing, siding, or gutter work on their home. 10/10!!

It went great! They were able to get us on the schedule quickly, and finished in a timely matter (considering the weather that week wasn't great).
