"Finally set aside enough money to do a deck project on my home. I've unfortunately learned over the last year of large projects that you absolutely get what you pay for with contractors. I'm handy, I do most everything myself, so taking the plunge with contractors is a difficult thing for me to do. I don't have the time, nor energy, to do large projects like a deck, so did some research. Found Stump's. From the very beginning of the project, I was impressed. Responsive to emails, estimate wasn't pushy, gave me options with explanations to why one options was better or worse, and since I'm an idiot with colors and such, they even offered me guidance there. Sold me. I went with a very large deck as I am not planning on ever expanding my home with more rooms and like being outside. Calvin and his crew were excited through the whole project and were very professional. Calvin even took some time to answer my overly interested questions on how the deck is attached to the home, I was basically making sure they did it right. If I'm paying someone to do something I can do, I want to make sure it's how I'd do it, and they passed with flying colors. I felt very comfortable during the whole project, never had to worry that they were doing something wrong, they cleaned up fully, there are no nails or screws in the yard that I have to worry about stepping on, etc. I mean top-notch people to have do work around your home. I can't say enough good things about Stump's, the deck is so solid it doesn't even move if I walk around it TRYING to make it flex. It looks awesome and I am extremely happy I went with them for this project. There's a reason they have 5-star reviews on Google, give them a call and let them show you what they can do, you'll be impressed.

"Simply put: I cannot say enough good about my first experience with BEST Contracting. When my roof was damaged by weather, Jeremy of BEST was there to help me to navigate the journey to a replacement roof, from the initial estimate to working with the insurance company and through the installation and follow-up. I now have 50 year shingles, a great looking roof, and I know that my guarantee is backed by BEST. BEST showed up at my house at 8:00 a.m. on the scheduled day for work, and by late afternoon had stripped off the old asphalt shingles, installed the new ones, cleaned up thoroughly around the house, and removed all of their equipment. I had always expected that getting a new roof would imply a few days of inconvenience, but there wasn’t even a moment of that. By the time I returned home from work, the job was done, my driveway was open, and the roof made the entire house look like new. The project included installation of drywall and doors, flooring, cabinetry, custom wood and metal design elements, painting and staining, and installing an egress window. "Everything went well at the beginning, that is setting up appointment, getting a well documented &nbsp;estimate, eventually setting up an app't due to weather concerns-you can't stain a deck unless you have dry warm conditions. <br /> The work itself seemed to go well, or so I thought. The deck floor was to be roughed and then 2 coats applied since that area on a deck gets most of the wear and tear.Everything looked good until this March, 2015 when I noticed the deck floor is peeling, and continues to peel &nbsp;in several spots. It is very disappointing since the reason I hired a professional was to avoid these types of issues.&nbsp; <br /> I contacted Keystone and explained the problem. They indicated they would stand by their work and set up an app't for someone to come out and redo the areas that were peeling. This was done and the peeling areas look much better. <br /> However now other areas have started peeling-not as bad as the previous ones but I guess I didn't expect any peeling at least for the first year. <br /> Anyway Keystone seems to be a good company with good customer service but I question if deck staining is one of their strong points. <br /> <br />
