Oren, our contractor with SOD Home Group, proved that house construction projects don’t have to be a nightmare but can be a pleasure if you find the right person to take you through it. Our old house seriously needed a remodel, and I didn’t have any personal preferences for any contractor; I lucked out when Oren came to interview. I liked Oren’s friendly, straightforward manner, devoid of slickness or hard sell, and his experience in construction was obvious as he walked me through the process. Oren spent time in the planning stage to find out what I wanted and discussed ideas that would work with the space. This is important: he is not the designer, he is the builder and will tell you what is structurally possible. Once a plan is agreed upon, his designer Eden put everything in several designs and after this stage is approved… then the crew do the work but i selected the fixtures, tile, paint color, etc. Oren had many useful resources to help, but I had a great idea of what I wanted needed. On the business end, once I committed to the job, the contract was clear, covering a schedule of payments and stages. Oren kept me up to date with what he needed from my end and when the crew was going to show up, etc..; all the teams came on time and work diligently. What a great combination: an experienced contractor with talented people skills who wants me to be happy with the job and makes it pleasant and easy! He’s been there for my every question and issue and gets back to me right away. I’m impressed by Oren’s team, all very professional people who do excellent, clean work while treating the area with respect; there’s not one guy working in my house that I wouldn’t have back (we are all working from home because of the pandemic). I’m impressed by the beautiful work that is being done and how creative and collaborative this team is. So summarizing: I found an honest, personable, skilled contractor backed by a wonderful team of professionals who are doing what they promised. No games here. I feel supported if questions come up and absolutely admire how they do business. The prices are fair and I feel that I have good value and guidance. I’m thrilled with Oren and SOD Home Group (including the staffers at the home office) and wouldn’t go looking anywhere else for my future projects

- Interior SpecialtiesI was already 100% certain that I wanted to have all wood Graber shutters installed in 3 bedrooms. She and her husband had previously done an EXCELLENT job installing Graber wood shutters for 7 large picture frame windows. Debbie came out to the house to take measurements at a time that was very convenient for me, right after I got off work at around 5pm. She took the care to go over my different options for the different types of border style that would enclose the shutter frame. After I picked out everything, the order was placed and sent to Graber to build the custom shutters. Once Debbie got the shutters in she called up and withing about 1 to 2 weeks there was availability for her to do the install. She was absolutely great and able to work with me on my busy schedule. Since she had previously done an install at my home, she even offered to do the install in the early evening, so I wouldn't have to take time off work. She did a lot of the prep work before she came out to the house and basically completed the install from 5 to 7pm. The single best thing about Debbie is HER FINE ATTENTION TO DETAIL. SHE'S AN ABSOLUTE PERFECTIONIST and you will be very happy with you finished product. She really takes a lot of PRIDE in the service that she's offering to her customers. I was kinda impressed that even though she was at my home at 7pm doing a late evening install, she still took the time and care to do the job right and make it look beautiful. THANK YOU DEBBIE

- Your Home Remodeling and DesignTom and Sandra are a husband and wife team that handle contracting/remodel work and decorating. They worked w/me diligently to arrive at a budget I could live with while providing high quality materials/work. Their subcontracting teams were very professional and did exceptional work---and all were fantastic and fun to work with! Tom outlined everything, including the cost up front, and explained things as they went along whenever i had questions; if something was too costly for me, he would provide viable options or actually work w/his distributor or contact to lower the cost, project took about 2 months. Sandra worked w/me on coordinating colors/materials for flooring, paint, tile, and window treatments. Her suggestions for furniture and other decor was great, never felt pressured, but they did offer their services for purchasing items, which I did on some of the furniture. As described above it was an update/remodel of master bedroom and bath. Installed pocket door between bedroom/bath, replaced 2 windows (enlarged 1), installed new wood flooring, partially removed old "plant ledge", added closet organizers, painted bedroom/bath/closetrooms, added canned lighting in bedroom, bath, and closet, removed old shower and installed new tiled floor to ceiling shower w/new fixtures and shower doors, new tiled bathroom floor, custom vanity w/new sink and granite counter top and new front/doors for linen closet, and installed new doors in remodel area. New furniture, rug, and window treatments were at additional cost. I felt extremely comfortable w/both Tom and Sandra and would definitely recommend their business to others

"We needed a washer because our old and trusty one died a death caused by non-availability of parts to repair it. So we visited Lowe's for its Labor Day sale. We found the washer we wanted (after checking out reviews at consumerreports.com) and did some comparison pricing. Lowe's had discounted the machine for the sale, and the sales person gave us an additional 10% off with free delivery THE NEXT DAY! That was great because I had been trying to fix the old one for three days and we had laundry piling up. The next morning the delivery staff arrived on time, the washer was wrapped in plastic and all of the parts were there as ordered. The installation was done within minutes and everything worked well. The delivery crew was professional, polite, and efficient. We were truly pleased with the in-store staff and the delivery/set-up crew. It was one of the better buying experiences we've had and we will keep going back.
