I used have my windows with dark curtains and cheap blinds and they made my living room look smaller that it needed. Now, I have GREAT QUALITY BLINDS that actually fit my windows and the valances are more attractive and better quality than anywhere I've ever seen. - Scott Hall RemodelingScott Hall came to the house and listened to what we wanted to do. While we had some ideas about what we wanted Scott, to his credit, asked an interior designer, Ali Souder, to help him come up with a design. That was very helpful because we were able to come up with an interesting marble tile backsplash that was the focal point of the bathroom design. Plans were developed; estimates determined; and we moved ahead with the remodel. Both Ali and Scott were helpful in product selection (to include plumbing fixtures, floor tile and cultured marble for sinks) and Scott suggested a heating option that allows us to increase the temperature of the bathroom for peak usage times in the winter. Mike Salvatori was the main construction specialist and was extremely easy to work with. Even the demolition phase of the remodel was quick and pretty painless. He respected our space, kept things clean and was very capable with the various aspects of the comprehensive remodel. He worked with us on paint colors, had suggestions when we ran into small problems, and came back promptly to fix a few issues that came up. We were very satisfied with the process -- we had put off this remodel for quite awhile in part because of how disruptive we knew it would be. Working with this company greatly reduced the disruption and we are very happy with our beautiful new bathroom
- Scott Hall RemodelingThe project started on schedule. After the old shower had been torn out, it was noted that the floor joist beneath the shower floor was not up to code when house was built. The sub for the builder had cut into floor joist to make the drain pipe fit. The repair to the joist had not been done properly by the builder. Mike, who was in charge of this project for Scott Hall, had experience in framing. He put lag bolts in the sister joist to bring it up to code. This held up the project, but I was impressed that Scott Hall's team paid attention to detail. When the tub was removed and then repositioned with the new onyx deck, Mike took additional steps to make sure that the tub was set correctly. Again, the builder had taken short cuts with the original installation. The tub had been hanging on the frame and was unsupported from below. There were at least a couple inches between the subfloor and the bottom of the tub. Upon stepping into the tub/Jacuzzi before the remodel, it always felt a little unstable. Mike built up the subfloor and used quick set to provide a firm foundation for the tub. It is rock solid now. Aesthetically, Scott Hall's work was impressive. The onyx and the glass enclosure are beautiful. The color scheme in the bathroom pleased my wife thanks to the help of Ali, the designer who works with Scott. After the work was completed, the bathroom was spotless. The men working for Scott took measures to keep the place very tidy while they completed the project. Follow up after the project to make sure we were completely satisfied was excellent. I have used Angie's list for a while, but mainly to find contractors or services. This is the first time I have written a review. I did so because I was so pleased with the work. It took a while to get on the schedule because his work is in demand. The project was not cheap, but "you get what you pay for." Scott Hall remodeling was definitely worth the wait and the cost

Based on the information I provided her, she was able to email me several renditions on how the pantry might look with different styles of doors, different shelving options, different sizes. A huge help, what I thought I wanted in my mind ended up not looking like I thought it would. So I was able to see conceptually what looked best in the area I want the pantry built so instead of having something I'm not happy with I have something I love

"GBR did a great job on a difficult chimney repair. Completely rebuilt the top of the chimney. Were always punctual and professional. Price was as quoted and reasonable. Husband/wife team who are good people. The repair was particularly difficult due to the height of the chimney and slope of the roof. They found the original brick and mortar matches the rest of the fireplace. All 15-20 courses of new brick are straight. Most impressive was care they took with the yard/patio. Plywood was laid down to prevent the lift machine from creating ruts in the yard - no ruts. Also, put everything else back to like new as if they had not been there.

"We have worked with Griffey Remodeling three times: a bathroom remodel, a kitchen remodel/add-on, and a new garage. Griffey Remodeling has never been the lowest bid, but we continue to work with them for several reasons: 1. They always completed the job at or under budget. 2. Their bid included everything to complete the job (no add-ons like paint, trim, etc.). 3. When there was an occasional miscommunication, changes were made to our satisfaction. 4. The final product is as good or better than we anticipated. Griffey Remodeling designs and picks out finishes based on preliminary conversations. However, we were also allowed the option to purchase the finishes ourselves. That was how we were able to come in below budget and had the ability to make our own finish selections. We had a different project manager each time, but Charlie Griffey is part of the process from beginning to end. In the end, the extra expense is well worth the price because there are no cost surprises, and the final product is first rate.
