Working with the contractor now, so far no issues. Greg Luebbe very professional, explained their roofing products, explained their warranty and the products used are the best on the market. Yes I would definitely recommend.

Blackburn’s did a thorough job of inspecting the chimney. Photos revealed the need for a chimney liner and associated repairs. The estimate was complete and reasonable (we got competing bids), and the work was scheduled promptly. Levi and his assistant arrived on time, laid down tarps and did the work carefully and efficiently, explaining everything along the way. Although planned for two days, they were able to complete in in one. Excellent service

Went very well. The work was paid under insurance claim and they worked with me on getting all the necessary information to the insurance company. Work was completed in a few hours. Very satisfied with the work. Charlie was great to work with as with all the other workers.

Mark was very punctual getting back to my initial request for chimney repair and exterior cleaning. We communicated via email and text. Mark and his team required use of a Boom Lift in order to access the top of the chimney, which was also on a steep decline at the side of the house. After paying a small deposit, the work was scheduled and completed over a few days. The house is 32 years old and looks almost new. I highly recommend Utmost Renovations for their knowledge, experience and quality of work

All work was performed in less than 2 days. Roofing crew was here early, did a professional job, and cleaned up afterward. Masonry work was completed in a few hours and also impressive. Yes. I would definitely consider Rescue Roofing & Siding to perform work on my house in the future.

  • Newman Roofing

Our experience with Newman Roofing was Top Notch. From the initial call to the office too schedule an estimator, until the day the roof was installed my wife and I could not be any happier!!! Jason Whiteley, who was our estimator, arrived on time, and after completing his inspection he sat with my wife and I to explain Newman's approach to replacing our roof. He provided multiple options and explained the benefits of each option. Additionally, Jason videoed a section of the plywood underlayment and showed how it was delaminating, and should be replaced. He explained the additional cost, but explained the benefit of replacing the plywood. The other roofing companies estimator's indicated the plywood "May Need to be Replaced". Jason showed roofing shingle catalog, and it there were more shingle color options to choose from. Our first choice was not available, but our second choice 'MID ATLANTIC BLUE' was available and that sealed the deal. The extreme quality of service did not stop with the contract signing. In addition to replacing the roof we needed to replace all the stucco on our house as well. Jason worked behind the scenes with the stucco contractor to coordinate timing and materials that needed to be used to ensure our house was sealed properly. While the stucco contractor was at our house Jason delivered necessary flashing materials and talked with the crew to make sure flashing was properly installed on a low angle roof section of our roof. Three days prior to installation I received call from Newman's production scheduling and they provided install date (weather permitting), site prepping that I needed to do to ensure roofing crew access and the name of the crew leader. The day before installation Newman crew leader Dustin called me and said his crew would be onsite around 7:00AM the next day. When the roofing crew arrived Dustin and I spoke, and I explained my biggest concern was protecting the stucco on the house. The roofing crew proceeded to placing protective netting all around the house. Next the crew removed all the old shingles in less then an hour and all the plywood in another hour. The shingles were going on by 10:00AM and by lunch time the majority of the new shingles were installed. The crew was done installing shingles, cleaning up and taking down netting by 3:00PM. The crew spent time installing and sealing customized flashing around our chimney, and completed this task by 4:00PM. During installation the production manager stopped by the house several times to check the work, and talk with me to answer any of my questions. THANK YOU THANK YOU Newman Roofing. I'm going to start with the best part: The raccoons actually returned and attempted to re-enter the sealed chimney through the roof. They were unable to get in, but did pull back enough of the older shingles (present before the job) to create a leak. I thought the leak was coming from the new construction and emailed Ohio Exteriors the same night. They came out first thing the next day to inspect the damage and repaired it for me using some shingles I had leftover. This was an excellent experience and more than made up for some of the communication problems I had earlier on. Do to a schedule opening they were able to start much earlier than expected. Since it was last minute, I had to rush a bit to prepare but it was worth it because construction was done quite quickly. They found some additional damage inside the wall that they didn't expect, and because of this I was asked to sign a contract extension to cover the extra work. The framing damage was quite a bit worse than I had anticipated myself. So this made sense. They also replaced the gutters and downspouts on that side of the house. I had worked with their sales manager to determine a placement for one of the two downspouts but that information did not get communicated back to the installer. I had to ask them to come out again and move the downspout. I was also disappointed that they installed the gutters before the painting was done, but it is impossible to tell now that everything is installed. The painting took a while to get started but they did a good job when they finished. There was some confusion on my part about how the paint sample would be chosen. I should have spent more time understanding the contract. But they were courteous with me even when I was frustrated and we got it sorted in the end. I've given them top marks in everything because the end result is excellent, they completed the job on time, and they were very helpful even after the work was completed

Even with recent heavy rains, leak has not recurred. Yeah! Since we don't have much experience with roof repairs (thank goodness), I can only evaluate price based on total elapsed time of service. Seems a fairly high flat rate, but then maintenance costs generally make me gasp.

Derrick came out on 3/28/14 and gave me an estimate for the work. The proposal included removing all of the T1-11 wood panel siding and all of the trim. Repairing any of the rotted plywood substrate and replacing the T1-11 with Hardy board and batten siding. Replacing the chimney chase cover and painting the flue and flue cap with rustoleum paint. Wrapping the chimney with Tyvek and replacing the step flashing around the chimney. Painting everything when it was finished. I normally like to get 3 estimates for a job of that size and it took a while to do that. My main problem was the follow up with other companies. By the time I was ready to make a decision it was late May. I called and asked to talk to Derrick to clear up a few questions I had. The person I spoke with passed my message along and he called me within an hour to discuss my questions. After almost 2 months he spoke about the project as if he were in my yard giving me the bid. I'm sure he was looking at notes and the pictures he initially took. I appreciated that. One thing I was insistent about was that I be there when the demolition was being done. I was curious as to how the chimney was put together because of another project I'm considering. I also wanted to see how well the original builders insulated it and in general how well/poorly it was constructed. Ohio Exteriors worked with my request and were able to schedule the work for when I was on vacation. The job took roughly 2 1/2 days. Derrick and his assistant showed up on time on 6/30 and got right to work. My last morning they had the demo completed and let me see the insides of the wood frame as I requested. Derrick explained what he found that would need to be replaced and gave me a pretty good overall idea of the condition of the entire chimney. By the end of the day he had replaced some of the plywood substrate, some rotted 2x4's a section of 2x10 and had applied the house wrap to the chimney. It rained pretty hard that night but the next morning when I looked the house wrap had done its job and everything was dry. Derrick had the Hardy panel and trim on by the end of day 2 and came back and pained on day 3. I cannot be happier with the way it turned out. He did an excellent job. His attention to detail was spot on. I took a close look later in the day and have no issues with anything. You could tell he took his time and did the job right. I am very pleased with the job. Ohio Exteriors will be on my list of people to call for my other projects and knowing the quality work Derrick does will make it harder for others to get my business
