Recent Plumbers Reviews in Albany

  • General Plumbing 518
Please disregard the last review I did for this service provide. I mistakenly gut him confused with another service provider. Although I have not made my final decision yet on my project, Vince called me right away and quickly gave me an estimate

  • Dave's Plumbing
Dave did two extraordinary jobs for us by (1) analyzing the problem and devising a viable solution to a long problematic kitchen and bathroom intermittent back-ups by designing and reconstructing the PVC drainage routing and (2) locating a hidden leakage in our indoor ("Endless Pool") swimming pool and devising/reconstructing a water-tight replacement spa jet that solved the problem (after two previous contractors were unable to do so.) The work on each project involved creative analysis of complex circumstances, considerable attentiveness to the respective problems, and completion in a timely fashion. Dave provided clear explanations of the work needed, the alternatives available, and the actual work being done. In each case, the results were outstanding, as was the reasonableness of the pricing

  • Dave's Plumbing
Excellent. Could not have been better. Dave came on a Saturday with very short notice and did a beautiful job, for all of which we were extremely grateful. The new pipes also look much more neat and professional than the old ones. He also helped us with a couple of unrelated issues (raising/leveling new stove; trickier than it sounds) and repairing kitchen drawer glides)--did a beautiful job with these, too

  • V & S Tile LLC & Bathroom Remodeling Co
First and foremost choose V& S Tile for your contractor! You will not be sorry. The high ratings you see on line are accurate!! Everyone at V & S Tile is very professional and friendly. Sergey and his team gutted to the studs and remodeled and tiled two of our bathrooms. It was a true pleasure to have them in our home. Sergey & Steve were great with communication. Mike did the majority of the work and is just amazing!! We were sorry to see Mike leave at the end of the project. He was extremely prompt and very conscientious about clean up. We would highly recommend V & S Tile! Sergey has an amazing team! I also want to give a shout out to Meeghan at Top Tile in Latham. She was awesome in helping pick out tile

  • Dave's Plumbing
Everything was finished timely and Dave alway cleaned up. I met Dave by accident, had just found out my water softener had filled up with water and was at Home Depot getting sand when I saw Daves truck outside, asked him if he knew anything about water softeners and was he available, he got back to me very soon and started working on my problem. I would feel very confident having Dave do any plumbing job

Plumbing FAQ

  1. How much does a plumber cost?

Answer: The cost of a plumber ranges from $175 to $480, with a national average of $330. However, the price will vary depending on job complexity, timing, location, supplies and materials, permits, and level of expertise. These costs typically include toilet repairs, faucet installations, and leaky pipes. In addition to the service call, you may also need to budget for haul-away and trip fees often required during more complicated jobs. Ask your local plumbing contractor about these fees before hiring them.

  2. How much does a plumber charge to replace a toilet?

Answer: On average, you can expect to pay your local plumbing contractor between $125 and $230 to replace an old toilet, with most residential homeowners paying around $150 to $180 for professional installation. You’ll need to consider materials and labor when calculating a final price. Not all toilets are equal. Depending on the brand you choose and the features you want, a new toilet might run you anywhere from $100 to $1,300. Add in the price of labor and installation, and your total project can jump up to $200 and $1,500.

  3. How much does a plumber cost to fix a toilet?

Answer: According to our service providers, it costs roughly $75 to $200 on average to have your toilet repaired. However, this price will vary depending on the complexity of the job and the materials needed for the fix. Repairs can be messy and less-than-pleasant to address, but having a functioning toilet is most definitely necessary. If you’re experiencing problems with your toilet, contact a local, reputable plumbing contractor right away, as avoiding repairs can lead to bigger—and more expensive—issues over time.

  4. Is liquid plumber safe for septic systems?

Answer: Good news! Liquid-Plumr® is safe for septic systems. Most drain cleaners disrupt the pH in your septic tank, which prevents the good bacteria from breaking down septic waste. The chemical make-up in Liquid-Plumr® works with the bacteria to break down waste quickly without harming your septic system. Still, it’s best to confirm with your local plumbing provider if Liquid-Plumr® is the right solution for your system.

  5. How much is it for a plumber to unclog a toilet?

Answer: Even the most well-maintained toilets experience clogs. It’ll cost you an average of $200 to $700 to unclog your toilet. Severe clogs will require a more comprehensive repair method, so check with your local plumbing contractor to determine the best approach for unclogging your toilet.

  6. Is Liquid-Plumr®, or any other liquid drain cleaner, safe for septic systems?

Answer: Yes and no. Liquid-Plumr® and other drain cleaners are most effective when used sparingly (one to three times a year). Repeated use of liquid plumber on drains could deteriorate your pipes and cause more damage. If your pipes clog frequently, put down the liquid plumber and call your local plumbing contractor immediately.
