I had installed a roof antenna with another company (not allowed to name them in Angieslist reviews). That antenna wasn't giving me much better reception than bunny ears. At home depot, I saw a man getting out of a Fairfax Antenna van and asked him about it. He said: "we'd use a Signal Strength meter", I was like "that's what the guys who did my installation should have been using". The guys who originally installed it didn't even have a compass with them. I had to call a few times to get an appointment -- the man at the office said he would put me on the schedule but didn't follow through a couple of times. The third time, he did make the appointment. The technician came on Wednesday before the "Thundersnow", even though the chimney sweep I had scheduled for that day canceled. The man explained what he was doing, was friendly, listened to what I wanted, did that and he didn't leave a mess. The reception was way better after the work. NBC 4 used to come in and out, now it's solid. The fees weren't that cheap ($90/hour, $68 flat service fee for driving out), but the work was good. I would recommend them and use them again.
