Manor Works Ventures Inc., DBA Manor Works Painting
The owner of the company came and gave us several estimates for different services we needed to be done. He came on time on the day we established and called before arrival to let us know he was on his way. He was really professional and presented his company really well (Great brochure with reference letters, job preformed, Certificate of Liability Insurance, and list of employee names and how long they've been working in the company.) I was really impressed. We decided to start with the powder room. The person that came to perform the service called us few days before appointment to confirmed day and time of service; he called again the evening before and confirmed the time he would have be here. He arrived on time and performed the service properly. The job is well done and looks really good.

It is hard to find painters who do electrostatic painting. This was the only one I found in the DC area. I first emailed. I believe the person who gets the email is Dan Foutaine. I didn't receive a reply email, but after about two weeks, I received a phone call from Dave Lewis. He arranged to have someone come over and look at my cabinets. That person came on time and was pleasant and business-like. I asked Dave for some references who had also had metal kitchen cabinets done by this company. He gave me two and both were happy with the work done by Premiere Painting. A contract was emailed to me. I orally agreed to the contract over the phone with Dave and we set a date for the painting and then I had to change the date. Dave was very accomodating of the change. I asked how long the job would take and he said maybe a day, but maybe more than a day. (I wanted to have the work done on a Friday so that my husband and I could be out of town overnight due to the high odor of metal paint). I asked if the job could start on Thursday (the prep work and sanding), but all the painting be done on Friday. He said yes. What I expected, but did not confirm, was that the Thursday work would be done on Thursday afternoon since it was a half day of work. I emailed the company the week that the job was to be done, but never received a response to my email. Dave called a couple of days before the job to get my color choice. I asked when the workers would be coming on Thursday and Dave said at 9 am. When I expressed a bit of upset, Dave did not change the time. This was very inconvenient for me because I had several other plans that had to be changed. However, it was my fault for making the assumption that the half day of work would be done in the afternoon. On Thursday, two workers put up paper and sanded the cabinets. When they finished for the day, they swept, but did not vacuum. So I had to vacuum in order to reduce the amount of dust as we were trying to live in our house. I spoke with Dave about this and he apologized. On Friday, two workers came at about 9:30. They applied a primer and two or three coats of paint and cleaned up. They were finished at about 2 pm. They were polite and hard working. The work was done carefully. I am pleased with the finished product; however, the finish is a textured mat finish and my cabinets had been a smooth, glossy finish. No one had discussed with me that there would be a difference in the finish. Fortunately, I like the result. I never saw Dave or Dan in person, which seemed strange to me. The communication was a little off sometimes. However, as I said, the work was carefully done and I am happy with the result.

Excellent in every way. I have hired several painters in the 40+ years in our house -- Tony Lee is without question the most professional. He and his assistant are attentive to every detail, with particular emphasis on careful prep before painting. They clearly would not settle for doing a less than perfect job. The price for the job was competitive with other estimates; I chose Tony because of his personable manner. I feel lucky to have found Lucky Painting.

Great company, very professional and meticulous. Pay a lot of attention to the details. They removed the wall paper from the powder room and painted ceiling, wall, doors and baseboard. Power washed and painted the entire exterior of the house.

Elite Contractors did a great job. Punctual and responsive. They came every day and kept the job site clean. High quality work. Very fairly priced—even with multiple change orders. We will be using Elite Contractors for our next project!

ANDY'S HOME IMPROVEMENT
Andy is very good at explaining his schedule and sticking to it. Work was done as expected and mostly on time. Andy's is not the cheapest but work is very good and employees are pleasant.

Rafferty Home Improvement
Hired to remodel, started out OK, they were using builders grade or under material, we were paying for quality material and getting riped off, and lying to us. They destroyed our yard and refused to clean up the mess. When corrected about the quality of the floooring, use of cheap material, incomplete or shoty work they would get angry and sometimes not come around or call for weeks. This was a nightmare, they were finally asked to leave my property after the owner was yelling at my elderly husband. They walked off the job and I had to get the inspections done myself. This was the worse thing that I can remember ever happening to me.

Carlos Mosquera Painting Inc
We are completely satisfied with the work. Carlos and his crew are exceptional. All the preparation was done and the attention to detail was excellent. Carlos even did some repair work in the powder room that was not in the contract. His concern for our satisfaction was evident throughout.

Oscar Construction Inc
The 2 full baths were remodeled 2 years ago and I still love them. In the master bath, they replaced the tub with a walk in shower, grab bars, rain shower and seat. Oscar Construction did such a great job that I hired them this year to remodel my powder room, kitchen and dining room. They also refinished hardwood floors in the kitchen, powder room and front hall. They turned out beautifully! Oscar installed two large(77") windows in my kitchen to replace a picture window that didn't open. They then had to add insulation and paint the exterior window frame. Once again, I am very pleased with their work and would highly recommend them to others.

Everything went smoothly from the time J.R showed to give an estimate, the scheduling of the job and the professionalism and quality of work performed by his crew.

I have been using Alpes for almost 18 years. They have painted, wall papered, remodeled master bath and powder room, added crown moulding throughout and general handyman work. No job is too big or too small. He treats each project as if it were for his home. Attention to detail is phenomenal. Would not trust my home to anyone else.

Excellent results on all aspects of the work. The powder room required care in redoing the walls around existing remodeled elements (e.g., expensive vanity, trim, etc.). The Andersen doors required partial disassembly to ensure a quality job. The trim work was relatively minor but the results were very professional. Also,Ross was very flexible in working around our personal schedule and family needs, showed great care for our home and was always professional with particular attention to detail. We plan on using Ross's services in repainting the exterior of our home this spring.

Very well. The estimator arrived promptly. We discussed using the same colors in the previously painted rooms and she assisted us in choosing colors for the 2 bathrooms and one powder room that were painted by them for the first time. The paitners called the night before as a reminder and showed up on time. They spend a good amount of time prepping and covering carpets, counters, etc. They painted and cleaned up well. Very satisfied.

Tigers Painting & Remodeling
The process went very smoothly. Ruben and his crew are efficient and professional. We were so pleased with their work (and attitude) that we decided to add a couple more projects to the initial plan. The team ended up having to work on the weekend since they had another job starting the following Monday. Even though they were pressed by time, they did not rush the job and were attentive from day 1 to the end of day 6. They also did a great job cleaning up at the end of each day.

Aragon Chimney Services
Initially, I was referred to Aargon Services by my real estate agent. The owner Carlos Aragon was very professional, neat, and accommodating, as well as his technicians. Most importantly, he was able to work within my budgetary constraints. I contracted Aargon to clean and paint my home for resale. In addition, Carlos did an excellent job of installing a new tile floor in the powder room and completed the work within the agreed project timeline. I intend to contract them for the repair of my fireplace chimney and highly recommend this contractor.

We were new to remodeling and thankful to be able to trust George’s judgment and good taste throughout the process. He and the entire crew took ownership and pride in their work. George, in particular, acted as a thought partner as we worked through different design elements. He was (very) patient as we iterated through different ideas and concerns and always very responsive, if not even proactive in anticipating our needs. His team was fantastic and professional through the pandemic. Each team member brought unique and refined skills to the project. And at the end of each day, the team took time to clean up and sweep out, understanding that we were working from home. They were always considerate of our pets and children, who were living through the construction. One of the things we appreciated most was their patience with a number of our idiosyncratic asks. We know these added time and work for the team. But at no point did they push back, and instead made sure that we got the home, down to the nitty details, that we wanted. Over our time with them, we grew to have a lot of affection, admiration, and appreciation for this team. If we ever have future needs, Panorama will be our first call.

The painters were prompt, polite, and helpful---and they respected my wishes to be careful that my cats did not escape while they brought supplies in and out of the house. I've always painted my houses myself, so I know how to do it, and I am very picky. The weather was hot, and they needed the windows open for ventilation, which made it a bit uncomfortable, but they did an excellent job! If I had anything left to paint, I would have them do it.

George Rosner Painting Contractor
We hired George to do interior and exterior painting in our home on three different occasions over the past several years -- totaling about $2,000 worth of painting, maybe a bit more. He does a beautiful job. He is extremely professional and competent, provides a written estimate and performs the work when he says he will and within the promised time frame (or sooner.) And he's a great guy. I felt comfortable having him work in the house all day while I and my family were home.
