Concrete Floor Staining Reviews Near You
Simpson & Company Landscape Design Inc
Dishonest, unprofessional and unreliable company. I hired this company to stain a concrete deck. They could not get the color right, instead of grey they stained it blue. They made a huge mess painting surrounding area. Foreman Huey promised to clean up, but a year later I'm still waiting for him to return. Incompetent and dishonest business.

Mottern Masonry Design
Mottern Masonry installed a new patio in our backyard this summer. We are very happy with the results. The owner of the company, Jeff, is very responsive and came out for an initial consultation within a couple of days of our first phone call. Jeff impressed me with his technical knowledge and expertise of concrete and stone work, and he made several important suggestions on the design and execution of the job that other contractors did not think of. The Mottern team was always prompt, they worked hard and got the job done quickly, and the finished product looks great. Their price was comparable to other concrete specialists. If you're going to go with concrete, then I would highly recommend this company. We are very pleased and will likely work with them again in the future.

Walker was great to work with. Very personable and honest. He and his crew did a beautiful job on the driveway. The workers were courteous, neat, and prompt.

I strongly recommend the process and this provider. Americrete did an excellent job, providing good advice prior to starting the work, performing the job, and performing some extra work I neglected to specify in the original job order. Prior to this I was scraping and painting the concrete porch on my 100 year old house every couple of years with only fair results. A year after this polishing, my porch looks great and I have every expectation that the finish should hold up indefinitely. I was originally worried that the polishing would make the concrete slippery, but results were the opposite. It's as skid resistant as it was when I used porch paint with silica added to it. The (gray) stain itself has faded significantly in the direct sunlight, but I was only looking for a light stain in the first place and the fading has been uniform.

The crew did a great job. Once they started they didn't finish until everything was complete, sometimes working late into the evening. They also worked on the weekend so they could take advantage of good weather. They paid attention to details and went out of their way to ensure I was pleased with the outcome. The salesmen, estimators, owner, and crew were all a pleasure to work with.

This was a failed attempt at an acid stain job. When Mario returned to discuss how to fix the job, he didn't like the way the conversation was going so he got in his truck and left, never to be heard from again. I needed to get a different company to grind down Mario's botched job and start over again.

Five Star Concrete Construction Inc
He was perfect. The guy was amazingly knowledgeable at the time, he sat in there and explained everything to us and gave us all his insight and what we wanted. He took time to even spread out what the patio was going to look like and had us put/set furniture on the grass to make sure we had enough room. He did a really good job and then he laid it on in one day and stained it the next day, came back thirty days later and re stained it just to let it just to let it cure and cleaned up everything, receded my lawn and they did everything. It was a really top notch job.

M.C. Fence and Deck
Overall, this experience was very good. They did not initially install the patio correctly, it was short about 18 inches, but they made it right and installed a border around the patio, at no charge to me. The fence was also done very well - for the amount of money that I spent on the overall job, I resented paying extra for them to stain the fence, and the person who stained it did not follow MC Fence's direction to wait for my approval of the color, but overall, I'm pleased with the result. They were extremely responsive and professional, and I would recommend them and use them again.

4 Service Pros
Greg is very detailed and from the very beginning wanted us to be happy with the work. We told Greg what we had in mind and he quickly drew up the concept on paper. Greg oversaw all of the work including the cement work. The new patio section is stunning. We had a flower box included at one end but have now decided to use that as a new pond with Koi. We doubled our outdoor space and now have a beautiful lanai. Not only did they stain and seal the existing patio where the new Pergola is, they repaired a long crack before they stained and sealed and you would never know it was cracked. The project has completely changed the back yard and provided a new space which we have been using almost every day. We had a slight delay in getting all of the Pergola parts and Greg gave us a credit without us even asking. We plan to contact Greg next year for our next project of remodeling the master bathroom. Greg, we are looking at hot tubs so thanks for the idea...

It was a tough job! The floor was in worse shape than we thought. Allison and her crew worked hard to make it as good as possible at a reasonable price. I think there was a little bit of a learning curve, but there are not many companies who do stained concrete residential floors on brownstones.

. He seemed experienced and confident which I liked. What I did not like was the price. I will not consider them to provide a bid in the future.

Very well. We had to wait a little longer than anticipated, but once the job was begun, it was finished in record time. The work crew was diligent and efficient and cleaned up afterwards. One of the vehicles left some oil stains on our apron, but once I brought it to Joe Nicolau's attention, one of his crew came out promptly and took care of the matter. We really appreciated that.

SCHNEIDER CONTRACTING CORP
I went on to the company's web site and requested an estimate based on my description of our project area. Mr. Schneider then met with me, explained the process, discussed options and offered a substantial list of local properties where his company completed work for review. He emailed his proposal and formal estimate. When we were ready to start, he promptly scheduled the starting date, gave us a fixed completion date and sent out his crew to do the work as promised. The crew was professional and pleasant. They worked efficiently, neatly and created a driveway that has already earned many compliments. We are very pleased with the company and the job that they performed.

Bonn Group America Construction
Bonn was one of three contractors on Angie's List that I solicited for bids. I selected Bonn because of their responsive to providing an estimate and Rudolf's, the owner's, nice demeanor. In the beginning, Rudolf was on site every day with the crew, which was reassuring. I provided the crew with bottle waters, sodas, and snacks nearly everyday due to the hot temperatures. Bonn did a good job with installing the privacy fence. My only criticism with the fence is that I had to give too much direction on how to install the fence gate and I had to request a gate handle. And, the deck staining was good. However, I failed to select a good color so I will have to hire another contractor to restain the deck. The problem is with the quality of the concrete work. In the course of replacing the front porch steps, one of the crew left his hand print in the concrete, which was visible as the concrete dried. Also, after completing the work, I noticed that water puddles were forming in the area between the steps and walkway, which never occured before this job. I contacted Rudolf about these deficiencies. He listend to me but didnt seem to believe me, although I was visually pointing out the problems. Initially, I said that I would get a 3rd party inspector to review the work and convince Rudolf that there were problems. But, we decided not to occur an additional $400 for an inspection. Instead, I took pictures documenting the deficiencies. When I shared the pictures, Rudolf sent his crew to repair the steps and the walkway. But in the course of repairing the walkway, the Do Not Cross tape fell into the concrete and left an imprint. My concrete walkway NOW has the imprint from the tape. During the final inspection, I pointed this out to Rudolf but the conversation quickly went downhill. Rather than push for him to fix the imprint, I opted to just pay the balance to end this business relationship and my stress. Rudolf accused me of being demanding. I will be glad to share my pictures showing the basis for my demands. My only reponse to the accusation is that when a customer pays over $8000+ for a job, he/she has a right to demand the high quality work.

They did an excellent job. The owner, Ed Dustin, has a crew of four masons who did an excellent job building the new 60+ foot long decorative wall and installing a new concrete flagstone walkway. After the job was completed and paid in full, rust stains began to appear in the mortar around one prominent stone in the walkway - right in the center at the foot of the stairs leading to the house. Apparently, that one stone had such a high concentration of iron in the stone that every time it rained, rust seeped from the stone and stained the mortar. Ed and I discussed this problem and potential solutions and he sent two of his masons back out to cut out this stone and replace it. They, too, did an excellent job and the problem has been rectified at no additional charge. Good Job, Ed! Not only would I recommend Ed Dustin and Potomac Masonry, but I already have and they got another job from that recommendation.

Rudy and his team are best in class! Amazing workmanship and thorough guidance and recommendations from Rudy. He completely transformed our home! He has passion, knowledge, and is honest about what is possible. Based on our experience with Rudy and his team - expanded the scope of this project and planned an additional work! The expanded scope will be covered in the general contracting category. Kudos for a job well done!

MARTINEZ CONCRETE RESTORATION & CONSTRUCTION INC
MCRC worked with us to come up with a design. They asked us quesitons on what our tastes were and what our likes and dislikes were. From there, together we came up with a design. The work was done from start to finish very quickly and professionally.

The Concrete Artisans
Very poorly. Contractor promised pristine work when selling overlay and then gave excuses as to why there were numerous defects. Contractor seldom on site, and then it appears he used a sub-standard or incorrect sealer which led to very apparent water stains with bathtub rings. Contractor's 'professional' response was to take no responsibility and then offered to fix at a price that was higher than the original quote. Avoid this contractor.

Morales Masonry Inc.
Builder subcontracted Morales Masonry Inc to install a stamped concrete patio in the back of my house. The patio turned out really bad as Morales Masonry installed it during the rain (they admitted it after the fact) and never came back to fix until we complained to builder as it was still under warranty. Morales Masonry came back after 18 month and re-stamped the patio, and let us choose the color to stain it with. However, they used different supplier than the color palette they gave us to choose from. Color was completely different and they have refused to correct it. Also, workers dumped the concrete leftovers on the side of the driveway, and in the bushes on my property, and refused to clean up - owner promised on the phone to come back and remove the concrete debris. Overall, i am rating them with D as they actually re-stamped (badly) the concrete and stained it, but because they refused to correct the color and clean up the mess i can't recommend this company.
