Angie's List is now Angi. You'll still find the same highly rated pros and verified neighbor reviews you've counted on for more than 20 years. Only now, you'll also get access to instant booking, upfront pricing, and more to make caring for your home even easier.

Companies are added to Angi by creating a profile. Professionals with a profile can add reviews, ratings, photos, and additional information about their business. Pros who can upgrade their profiles to advertise their business on Angi.

Be respectful

Respect each other and each other's property. If there's a conflict, respectfully work together to resolve it.

Be fair

As a pro, ensure that you're providing good customer service and producing quality work at a fair price. As a homeowner, be considerate of pros' time and money. Also, be fair in giving pros the reviews they've earned and deserve.

Be professional

Present yourself in a professional manner. Communicate clearly and often and do your part to ensure each other's comfort in every situation.

Be honest

Honor your agreements and be honest about your expectations and limitations. As a pro, be honest if a job is outside your skillset or licensing. As a homeowner, be honest if you have no intention of completing a project. Always be upfront if something isn't going as agreed upon or planned.

Be reliable

Answer calls, texts and emails in a timely manner. Show that you value each other's time by being present and punctual for all appointments. Never leave someone wondering how to reach you or where you are.

Be inclusive

Don't discriminate based on race, national origin, social and economic class, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, political belief, religion, mental and physical ability, or any other factor. Angi adheres to a strict zero-tolerance discrimination policy.

Every member gets digital issues delivered by email monthly, and in most areas of the United States, Silver and Gold members get the print edition delivered to their mailboxes quarterly.

You can cancel your paid Silver or Gold membership anytime. Simply log in to your Angi account, go to the Manage My Account page, and click Cancel Auto-Renew. You may also call us at 888-811-ANGI.

For your convenience, these memberships automatically renew at the end of their term. Your renewal fee may differ from another member's fee. At the end of your term, your subscriptions will continually renew for one-year periods. Your PayPal account or credit card on file will be billed on the last day of your membership. Please note that if a payment fails to process, additional attempts will be made.

Yes. You can use Angi and the Angi app to compare and research local service professionals, book home services, and request project quotes, all for free. Our revenue comes from three sources: service professionals, who pay to advertise services on Angi, paid memberships, which give homeowners access to discounted home services and more for an annual fee, and Angi Services, where projects are booked and completed by Angi.

We've done our homework to ensure you're presented with transparent service pricing and accurate local cost information. When you book and pay with Angi, you'll be presented with a transparent, upfront price before you ever schedule with a pro. You can also visit our Project Cost center to see what you can expect to pay for hundreds of different home projects. You can rest assured that all of the pricing you see on Angi is based on data collected from millions of real home projects, provided by real homeowners like you. When you're requesting quotes and working directly with pros on your projects, we recommend that you get at least three quotes and pay close attention to bids and contracts. If something is unclear, be sure to ask questions and get clarification.

To use a promo code for an instant booking or online project, simply enter your code in the box presented at checkout.

To save an incomplete review so that you can work on it later, you can keep your comments as an unpublished draft.

To complete your partial review, go to the Add Review button at the top right of the page. Choose Finish Review and complete/submit your review. If you want to delete your review, select Remove, and your saved draft will be removed.

Ratings and reviews, formerly grades on Angie's List help you make informed hiring decisions. And, they also help pros communicate the quality of their work. When you hire a pro, we ask you to detail your experience and rate your pro on a 1-to-5-star scale — with 5 stars reflecting the best quality and service. When your neighbors hire pros on Angi, we ask them to do the same for you.

Here are some things you might include when you're leaving a pro review:

• Work Quality - Did the service and materials meet expectations?
• Customer Service - Did the pro provide excellent customer service to support you throughout the project? Were they responsive to questions, concerns, and feedback?
• Value for money - Did you get your money's worth? Was it a fair price?

You may also want to leave a comment about your experience. You can consider things like responsiveness, punctuality, and professionalism.

The Angi Super Service Award is an annual award given to service professionals who distinguish themselves by providing customers with excellent service, quality, and value. To be eligible to receive the award, pros must maintain an average 4.5+ star rating and receive at least 3 new reviews during the review period. In addition, pros must have an average lifetime rating of 4.5+ stars and be in good standing with Angi.

We take several precautions to ensure that reviews come from real customers — including a combination of proprietary behind-the-scenes technology and good old-fashioned human investigations — designed to root out potential conflicts of interest, self-reporting, and fraudulent reviews.

Our safeguards include:

No biased reviews: Companies are not allowed to rate themselves, and all consumers must confirm that they are not affiliated with, or in competition with, the company they're providing feedback on.

No anonymous comments: To ensure the integrity of feedback, we do not allow anonymous reviews. Consumers are required to provide their contact information before leaving a review, so we always know who is submitting feedback.

Feedback verification: We check feedback before posting it. Any company engaging in fraudulent behavior is excluded from category searches and a notice is placed on their profile. Additionally, providers can't remove their names from Angi, so companies can't hide poor ratings or fraud notices.

To leave a review, you need to have an account with Angi. If a pro has provided you with a link to leave a review, you'll be prompted to provide basic information, and you'll need to agree to the Membership Agreement and Privacy Policy before submitting a review.

We don't accept anonymous feedback in an effort to ensure fairness and prevent any purposeful manipulation of a company's rating. To maximize fairness and accuracy, your name and address is visible to the provider you rate. This gives providers the opportunity to correct any problems and respond to good and bad reviews.

Your name will not be included when your feedback is posted online.

Millions of homeowners, just like you, rely on Angi reviews when making the right hiring decision for their project. The best reviews offer an accurate description of how the project went, along with helpful tips and insights.

To ensure your review gets shared, please review our code of conduct and follow these helpful guidelines:

Be Family-Friendly

No offensive, harmful and/or abusive language, including: profanities, obscenities, harassment, vulgarities, sexually explicit language and hate speech (e.g., racist/discriminatory speech).

Make sure your statements are accurate.

Be Relevant

Don't include comments concerning other Service Professionals or information not related to work requested in the service request.

Respect Privacy

Don't publicize your own or other people's private information.

Angi reserves the right to refuse to post or remove any Review (in its sole discretion). All Ratings and Reviews of a Service Professional displayed to you reflect the opinions of other consumers, and do not reflect or represent the opinions or representations of Angi. Angi disclaims any and all representations or warranties with regard to Ratings and Reviews.

Reviews do not reflect the views of Angi, its parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies; or its employees, officers, directors, or shareholders.

Further, the reviewer must provide permission to Angi to contact the Service Professional about his or her work request. If a dispute arises between a consumer and professional, the rating submitted may be held in pending status until resolution is reached. Angi does not assume responsibility or liability for any Review or for any claims, damages, or losses resulting from any use of the Site or the materials contained therein.

To become Angi Approved — and pay to advertise services and discounts on Angi — businesses with at least one review must maintain an average rating of 3 stars or higher. New advertisers on Angi will be identified as “New to Angi” until they have at least one review and a 3 or more star rating. The business's owner, principal, or relevant manager must pass a criminal background check before entering our network, and the business must attest to maintaining all applicable state and local licenses. We revoke the certification and advertising upon discovery that any business fails to maintain these requirements.

We perform a background check on the owner, principal, or relevant manager of a service professional before allowing the business into our Angi Approved network and any time concerns are brought to our attention.

Some Angi Approved companies are national platform partners, or Corporate Accounts, rather than typical service providers. Corporate Accounts will be identified as such on their Angi profiles. Our background check criteria are not applicable to Corporate Accounts, and Angi does not perform a background check on Corporate Accounts. Corporate Accounts may, however, have their own background check policies.

The owner, principal, or relevant manager of every Angi Approved business (with the exception of Corporate Accounts, see below*) must pass a criminal background check. And the same is true for every business displaying the Super Service badge. Unfortunately, we are unable to perform a background check on every employee of a business — the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you perform your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their own employee background check policies. *Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, you may be matched with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process is not applicable to Corporate Accounts, as Angi does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

When a business has passed an Angi background check and screening, they will display a special designation next to their listing (e.g., an "Angi Approved" or "New Pro" badge). Any business that doesn't display one of these badges hasn't passed a background check. Some Angi Approved businesses are Corporate Accounts, rather than typical service providers. Our background check criteria are not applicable to Corporate Accounts, and Angi does not background check the Corporate Accounts. Corporate Account partners may, however, have their own background check policies. We encourage homeowners to perform their own research when hiring a corporate partner.

Any business that fails a background check is barred from advertising anywhere on the Angi site. They will not appear in general search results. Some Angi Approved businesses are Corporate Account Partners, rather than typical service providers. Our background check criteria are not applicable to Corporate Accounts, and Angi does not background check the Corporate Accounts. Corporate Account partners may, however, have their own background check policies.

When a company is added to Angi, we ask them to attest to their licensing. Professionals can indicate on their profile if they are registered, bonded, and insured. Since this information is self-reported, we strongly encourage you to check with the provider and regulatory agencies in your area for their most up-to-date information. Visit our License Check tool to see which regulatory agencies you can contact to verify licensing.

Our Trade Licensing Department routinely checks licensure for accuracy and contacts providers who have missing or outdated information. This is an ongoing effort that may never be perfectly complete due to ever-changing licensing laws. Licensing indicates that the contractor has been granted a state trade license as mandated by law. Generally, providers must pass competency tests for business practices and trade skills, pay a fee, and prove insurance and/or bonding. Please be sure to check local licensing requirements for your pros.

Registering usually requires contractors to prove insurance and pay a fee, but only sometimes requires bonding and rarely tests competency.

Registering is typically less stringent than licensing — and, in a few areas of the country, licensing and registering are terms used interchangeably.

Bonds are arrangements between the contractor and a third-party, private bond issuer or a recovery fund held by the licensing municipality. Homeowners may petition for reimbursement through the third party if contractors harm them financially because of shoddy work or failure to pay subcontractors as promised.

You should always verify that the contractor has insurance before working with them. Ask to see a Certificate of Insurance and call to make sure the policy is current and has enough coverage for your project. The two most common types of insurance are liability insurance and worker's compensations. Liability insurance covers property damage and injuries caused by the contractor's work. It won't normally pay for repairing or replacing bad work; that's the purpose of a bond. Workers' compensation provides payments to injured workers (regardless of who was at fault in the accident) for lost wages and medical services. It also provides benefits to the contractor's family in the event of death. In most cases, if the owner is the only employee, workers' comp is not required.

We also ensure that all website communication only uses HTTPS by employing HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which does not allow any insecure communication with our websites. This helps keep your information private and reduces susceptibility to some attacks.

Pros who aren't Angi Approved will appear in search results below the Angi Approved Pros. Their company name, ratings, and other information will be displayed in search results. You may click their profile links to see full details about these businesses, including ratings and reviews.

Yes. Angi allows pros who maintain an average rating of 3 stars or higher— and who meet certain other criteria — to pay to advertise their business through our website, magazine, and call center. Angi limits this advertising to highly rated providers. Because these providers have agreed to provide high-quality service, as well as to other terms that facilitate happy outcomes, they are certified into Angi's advertising program and receive increased visibility to members.

You can filter search results if you would rather see pros closer to home or starting with a specific letter or number. Please note that if an Angi Approved pro fails to continue to meet our certification standards, they lose this distinction and become ineligible to advertise discounts on our website and magazine. If a business's overall rating falls below a 3-star rating, we will not allow them to advertise on our websites, magazine, and call center.

Failure to maintain other customer satisfaction standards, like working with our complaint resolution team to resolve complaints or failing to have required licensing, is also cause for removal of a business's coupons or other offerings. Companies are not obligated to advertise, nor does their decision to advertise affect their ratings or reviews.

If you're looking for a company that you've seen on Angi in the past, keep in mind that your results will shuffle every time you do a category search. Try scanning the next page of results.

Still having trouble finding a business? It could be for one of two reasons:

The business has not claimed a profile.. At this time, we do not show results for businesses that have not claimed a free profile with Angi.

The business operates outside of your service area. Companies outline their service areas on their profiles, and your community may be outside the limits they've selected. If you know a company does work in your area and think there's been an error, please contact us to let us know. Providers change their service areas from time to time, and we appreciate any information you can share.
