After the storms wiped out a bunch of my siding, Will was able to get it fixed up quickly as soon as materials arrived. (My specific vinyl siding color was discontinued.) He asked my opinion on the best color match of the options available and this was pretty close.

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

Our point of contact was Gary Courtright who did an excellent job in communicating, estimating, and coordinating the repairs and roofing shingle replacement for our rather large and expansive home in Fruit Heights, Utah, where in some years, the canyon winds through our town can exceed 100 MPH. After 25 satisfactory years on our old roof, we contracted Kimball to complete some extensive roofing plywood repairs, re-flashing, re-membraning, and re-edging of the entire 6,000 SF roof. Per Gary's expert advice, plus Louie and Rohojolo outstanding installation, we ended up with a very attractive and fully sealed roof that will probably last twice as long as our previous roof. We now have a Tamko 50 year architectural shingled and ridged roof that can now withstand winds up to 150 MPH. SUPER. JOB WELL DONE !

"Dutch and his partner, Mike, put down our hardwood flooring for us in just a few days! Before our floor was laid, they took a wall down in our kitchen which gave us a wonderful open "great room". They were incredible workers. Dutch has so much experience that he was able to figure out some real tough situations we had with wiring and plumbing after the wall was down. Mike was excellent at crawling up in the attic and helping Dutch reroute all the exposed wiring. I've never seen two guys work so hard and put in such long days. They were incredibly fast at their work and I would highly recommend them for any remodeling job. Very nice guys!"

Traditional clapboard siding, particularly with panels made from wood, is not a significant insulator on its own. However, you can keep your home cooler in summer and warmer with "insulated clapboard siding," which is a type of vinyl clapboard siding with a built-in foam insulation. You may only need to repaint fiber cement siding every decade or so, but you should clean it every six to 12 months, depending on your local climate. First, wash with a garden hose or similar low-pressure device (not a high-pressure washer, which can damage the material) to remove dirt and any large debris. Then, gently wipe down the surface with a soft brush or cloth in a side-to-side motion, following the grain of the fiber cement.
You have several options you can choose from for climbing plants without damaging your siding. Climbing hydrangea and Carolina jessamine are two options, and jasmine, honeysuckle, and sweet pea are a few others. Look for these climbing plants to add lovely curb appeal and are less likely to cause damage to your siding.
Wood siding requires an air gap behind it to allow water to drain out, and for air circulation and venting to allow humid air to escape and keep the material from rotting due to moisture.
