"Had an emergency water pipe leak with water running into the basement where Groundworks had already installed a sump pump and drainage system. The pump clogged up with mud and wouldn’t work. Josh Moreno responded and worked so hard getting the system apart and cleaned out. Unfortunately he couldn’t finish until we got someone out to dig up the front yard and replace main water line. Josh was here first thing Monday morning and finished cleaning the system out, tested everything, and got everything working again. We are so thankful he responded to our home and took care of it. Thanks Josh!"

"The DaBella representative Donald Davidson came to my house and inspected my roof. He showed me actual photos of the damage and explained how the new roof is constructed and how it functions with the vent system. Which is really an amazing system. I will recommend this company as I find Donald Davidson and this company very professional and innovative."

"my water heater quit late at night, i took to angi and submitted a work order. JS plumbing was so amazing, at 11:30pm James texted me and within 30 minutes he was at my house to check it out. that's what i call instantaneous customer service. he didn't even take a cent from me for the look-see at midnight... shocker!! he ordered the parts and was back with them 3 days later(weekend slowed down the delivery of the parts, otherwise he would have been back the very next day!) he was super knowledgeable, very nice, and reasonably priced. i very much highly highly recommend JS plumbing! ps. please don't judge him, he's a hard working man, and very much looks like it. thank you James, you're amazing!"

"He is professional, thorough, and does not take short-cuts. He responded quickly to get my supplemental furnace up and running. He also replaced another furnace and installed a high efficiency one, creatively solving installation challenges in my older home while keeping strictly to code. I'm very pleased with the result!"

"Was really surprised he came two or three hours after I called. He said he's been plumbing for 35 years, so he knew exactly what to do. He used quality (and very pricy, I think there is a 100% markup) materials, said this should last about 10 years. The old lasted 30 years. One of my neighbors got this same thing done in plastic, and it too will probably last 10 years. Don't think I came out ahead on that one.
He was prompt, courteous, and cleaned up after himself for the most part. He used my basement bathroom when I wasn't looking and did not (or forgot) to flush the toilet. UGH!
Be aware that he does NOT offer the 10% senior discount this website says he does. That discount was a large part of why I called this particular plumber. He says he charges less than some other companies. Labor was approximately $100.00 an hour.  That other companies charge more may or may not be true, from what I know, but I felt I had been bait-and-switched. If this is a consideration for you, you may want some other plumber. And I think Angie's List might want to note this somewhere as well.
I would not hire this plumber again in spite of his positive points because of the above, mainly the huge bill at the end.

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

You can try several easy methods to unclog a drain, one of the easiest and most effective of which is to use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. This will help dislodge and dissolve the clog to move it down the drain pipes. Pour 1/2 cup baking soda into the drain, followed by 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Dump several cups of boiling water (or hot water if you have PVC pipes) into the drain and let sit for up to one hour. Run hot water to clear the drain.

Yes, you can remove a bathtub yourself if you have previous DIY experience and basic plumbing knowledge. You should have at least one other person help you if you approach this project as a DIY. However, hiring a plumber or bathroom remodeling pro can prevent accidental damage from demolition or water leakage.

How much it will cost to install an earthquake shut-off valve depends on who’s doing the installation. The price of the earthquake shut-off valve itself can cost between $250 and $750, and you’ll pay between $150 and $200 for labor if you hire a licensed plumbing contractor. If you install the valve yourself, you’ll save on labor, but you might need to spend $50 to $300 on the right tools for the job (and it’s a complex job that we don’t recommend DIYing).

Window wells contain a drainage system that either redirects the water downhill away from your foundation or connects to your home’s interior drainage system. It’s important to check every few months to ensure your window well’s drainage is clear and working properly to avoid water damage to your foundation and basement.

Replacing faucets isn’t the easiest task, but with the tools and technical know-how, you can complete this project in an hour or two. If you don’t have any experience installing faucets, you’ll want to hire a plumber to do the work. The average service call cost of a plumber is $333, but it can also give you the opportunity to learn how to install one for future reference.
