Lower your door as much as possible by turning the roller adjuster screws counterclockwise—located at the base of your door in a covered hole. With more space between the track and door, lifting it off its track should be easier.

If your hinges are rusted, a lack of support may be why your screen door is sagging. A misaligned latch and striker may cause a slight sag. For an easy way to make the screen door more secure, purchase replacement hinges if you see noticeable rust or deterioration. To replace hinges, unscrew each leaf on your existing hinges, swap in your new hinges, and tightly screw the new hinges into place.

You have a few options when trying to fix a misaligned door hinge. Tighten the hinge screws first. If you see the door is sagging, then you might need longer screws in the door hinges. It’s also possible the door needs a readjustment, so try loosening the hinges and adjusting the door, then retightening them once you have the door in place.
