I called 4 places for a hot water heater and no one called me back. I called Hazelhurst on Tuesday and by Wednesday we had one put in. Gene is amazing
he was very courteous, listened to what I needed. I gave him the things to replace, but had supplies I didn't have (i.e. wall anchors, etc). He also was very reasonable, I was happy, and he was worth every penny!!
I even gave him an electric scooter that needed a tune up to take home and look at, he will look at it and give me an estimate on repairs.

Fireside Hearth and Home was unresponsive to the damage, calling it an 'act of God'. The replacement stove, installed by another builder, included an ice dam on the roof which is required in our area (it was not installed by Fireside Hearth and Home).
Furthermore, Fireside Hearth and Home continued to maintain the damage was an 'act of God' and would not reimburse us, forcing us to go to court with their insurance.

The contractor added
hours to his invoices that he did not work, and purchased personal items that he
billed me for. The contractor was very slow and brought on hired help
that was not skilled. The remodeling to my home was not done correctly
and all needs to be completed again the right way. The contractor caused
damages to my home and it was extremely difficult to work with him in fixing
the damages he had caused, which were not fixed correctly either. The
damages included, but were not limited to, a broken window, spray paint on a
concrete patio, burnt carpet that was shoveled into my shrubs that killed them,
large amounts of trash and burnt trash that he would not remove.
He broke my window on the last day of service, leaving the job site and projects
incomplete, stating that he was seasonal to the area and would fix and finish
the work next Spring. I could not afford to bring him back because he had
already used and exceeded the costs for my entire remodeling budget and worked
past the estimated completion date. Furthermore I could not bring him
back because his work was poor and he took too long to complete it. When
I told him that I could only pay half of his final invoice so that I could
repair the window he broke and clean the trash he left, he yelled at me and
then threatened to put a lien on my home and another property.
The contractor would tell me to leave my home when I would come to check on the
work, stating that I was in his way. The contractor performed and billed
me for work that I never asked for or authorized, and work that I had asked for,
he would not complete. Additionally, he painted my bathroom with a color
I did not choose and stated he was the professional and thought it was best and
that I needed to let him do his work. He tiled counter tops on top of old
counter tops and did them incorrectly. The tiles are cracking and the
counters all need to be replaced. He titled a floor and did not tile the
floor correctly. Tiles do not match up and the grout joints are poor,
causing tiles to crack and needing repair. The contractor treated me in a
very unprofessional and disrespectful manner. The contractor would talk
down to me when I checked on the work and stated that he believed that my home
was haunted and that I had ghosts in my house. I have had no ghost
experiences in my home. On one occasion I visited my home to check on the
remodeling project and no one was there. Later the contractor had asked
me if I was in my home and I stated yes, then asked him why. The
contractor stated that he had his ways of knowing if someone was in my
home. When I asked him what those ways were, he stated that he just had
his way of knowing.
The contractor was unethical and caused too much stress to the remodeling
project, needing to be completed again after he left. The contractor was aggressive
when I pointed out work not done correctly, stating that I was wrong and did
not know what I was talking about and that he was right because he was meticulous
with his work and knew how to do it. The contractor sub contracted some
of the work to his brother who had texted me messages that were not
professional, in fact that were uncomfortable. I had found out later that
the contractor was arrested while he was working on my home and did not tell me
the truth about his arrest. The contractor also took items that I had
purchased for my home from me.
I do not recommend this contractor.

His crew came early to prepare the area and completely finished the job the next day. They did an excellent job, totally cleaned up after and I received the clean air lab results all at a reasonable price. Yes, would definitely recommend in fact, already have. The three methods or phases of water damage remediation are mitigation, remediation, and restoration. Mitigation is an emergency response that can include shutting off your water main or patching a hole in your roof from a fallen tree limb. Remediation includes drying the affected area, removing damaged materials, and dealing with any resulting mold growth. Restoration includes the build-back required to return your property to its previous condition. All three methods should be a part of any water damage remediation plan.
When hiring a water damage restoration company, you should confirm that the remediation plan includes fixing the underlying problem, dealing with resulting mold growth or rotted materials, and any making any build-back necessary to restore your property to its previous condition. Each phase of the remediation plan should include specific testing and inspection details to ensure the work is done properly and in a way that doesn’t prevent the restoration cost from being denied by your insurance provider.
If you find evidence of water damage in your home, your best option is to call a local water damage restoration company immediately. You could call a plumber first if you know that the issue is stemming from a plumbing pipe, but in many cases, a company that specifically handles water damage will be able to find the source of the damage and recommend a specific repair. Water damage restoration pros will also be able to develop a plan to remove any damaged material and restore your home to its previous condition.
When you find water damage, your first order of business is to keep everyone on the property safe, so if you have standing water, evacuate if it’s safe. If possible, find the source of the water and stop it, which could mean shutting your water main to prevent pipe leaks. Next, you should notify your insurance company and immediately call a water damage restoration professional. They will work with you and your insurance company to create a solution to fix the issue and file an insurance claim for the cost of the damage.
The average water damage restoration cost is around $3,500, but it’s not uncommon to see prices fall between $450 and $15,000. Your project cost will depend on the extent of the damage, the source of the water, whether or not mold has grown in the affected area from the moisture, and the emergency level of your water problem. Keep in mind that your insurance company may cover some or all of your restoration expenses if your homeowner’s insurance policy covers the specific issue.
