"Brad was very easy to work with. His prices are very competitive and his customer service is excellent. Even though I contacted him late in the season, he was able to get the job completed. He and his crew completed the connection of the sump pump discharge to a newly installed municipal collector line. When the job was completed, the excavation was unnoticeable. I would recommend him to others needing landscaping or general yard work."

"Layne was very personable and a good worker. He cleaned up the hill where shrubs and berry bushes had started to dig in. II looks really nice now and he planted flowers to keep the dirt on hill stable. He came back after finishing to spray the ground roots that showed after the rain we had. He called, when he was going to be later than when He said he would be coming. This can happen to anyone. i would hire him again if I needed help."

"Friendly, prompt service at a great price. We had an old piano removed (and a few other things they were willing to take) and they got the job done in no time. I was also able to get this done within just a couple of days from the time I searched for options. Very pleased and will be keeping them in mind for anything I need hauled away in the future."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

To determine whether your homeowners' insurance will cover crawl space repair, consider the cause of the issue. Repair may be covered if the problems were caused by an event that the insurance covers, such as vandalism or a windstorm. However, companies won't cover the repair if the issues are caused by neglect or wear and tear.

Underground downspouts refer to the sections of downspout extensions that lead away from your home and gutter system. While they cost more than traditional extensions, they can provide several benefits, such as less frequent damage and no need to move them for lawn care tasks. Whether they're worth it or not depends on your budget at installation time and how much convenience they'll add to your situation.

The cost to repair a crawl space runs between $1,500 and $15,000, depending on the extent of the damage. Major flooding or water repairs can cost up to $10,000 for removal and repairs. If you simply need to clean your crawl space, expect to pay between $2,000 and $6,000 for a major cleanout. Replacing a crawl space beam due to rot or damage can cost between $1,500 and $5,000, while removing and replacing damaged insulation costs between $1,000 and $4,000.

Your contractor should handle dust control during the project. It's best to speak with your contractor beforehand to check if they plan to cover your furniture, protect your vents, or use fans to redirect dust. Eliminating drywall dust is a particularly large challenge during construction, so always take this into account during your planning phase.

You do not have to dig footers for a deck as long as it meets local code and holds up to weather in your area. If you live somewhere that experiences high winds and earthquakes, you may need to dig for your deck posts. Deck blocks, post anchors with base plates, and helical pile systems are the three no-dig deck post options you can choose from if local code permits.
