They removed old asphalt and redid the driveway. They showed timely and worked very efficiently. Bob, the sales person for our work, showed up before the crew so he could make sure they knew the details we had discussed. I thought that was a good sign.

United Paving was the first company to get back to me with an estimate and their estimate was comparable to other companies. It was easy to request the estimate online or via email (I don't remember which). They were quite willing to have all of our communication over email which I value highly in a company because it's the most convenient for me. Dave and his crew were friendly and professional, and he kept me posted on the progress of the project. They ripped out the old driveway on a Thursday and put the new one in on a Tuesday. We are so happy with the results! They did a beautiful job.

Chris at United Paving is very responsive. He initially provided me an estimate months ago when I was still researching the project. After I had many bids from virtually every paving company in the county, United Paving was about $2k lower. Once I selected United Paving for the project, to say that Chris was responsive would be an understatement. I have about 50 emails back and forth coordinating timing and answering my questions about the project. Their foreman Luke even came to the job site to work with my concrete contractor so that the overall project is successful. The end paving result was a success.

I found United Paving through Angie's List.  I emailed them initially and explained our situation -- that we needed an extension of our driveway, and that we couldn't afford  a paved driveway at this time but might want to pave it (and re-surface our existing drive) in the future.   I got a prompt callback (within a day or so) to schedule a site visit.  The gentleman who came to do the site visit was prompt, efficient, and helpful.  He didn't try to upsell us -- he just helped us think through the best way to accomplish what we needed (extra parking on the side) and took measurements.  They were prompt in getting a written bid to us in the mail.
We made the initial contact in early to mid April, and when we decided to sign the contract, they said they expected to get the work done sometime in May.  (They had previously asked if the project had an urgent due date, and it did not, so we were okay with a May timeline).  In the end, the crew ended up coming out before the end of April, which was terrific.
The day thew crew was scheduled to arrive, they were there on time, and the did quick work of excavating the new parking area to put down a 10" gravel base.  They were careful to work around a buried cable line.  They arrived first thing in the morning and were done before lunchtime.  Fast, professional, and the parking area has been exactly what we needed.  They also explained how to handle paving it in the future, to match up with our existing driveway.  They did not assume they would get the future work (although they probably will!!), but just helped me understand what would need to happen to make that work.
I was extremely pleased with every aspect of the project.  The only surprising thing to me was that they did not do a follow-up call or email after sending me the bid in the mail.  I appreciate not having pushy salespeople call, but in this case, I really would have been okay with a follow-up call.  After all, I am the one who initiated the request for a bid.  This isn't a complaint at all -- just a mention because I really think it would be okay and perhaps even desirable to make a follow-up contact.
Excellent service, and our driveway extension has dramatically simplified life in this house with 5 cars/drivers.  :-)  I would recommend United Paving, and I will most likely call them again when it is time to re-do our drive.

The service went fine. My husband didn't like the fact that there was a seam in the middle. They came out and explained that, because it is a wide driveway, there has to be a seam. They extended the warranty.

They found a soft area and contacted me, with a reasonable price, for the approval to add
more gravel base. All work was done on time and with plenty of notice and instruction
as to how long to not drive on driveway, leave garage door open for their crew etc
I also had work done at my place of business which I was very pleased with.
United Pavings crew made time concessions that were very helpful in not
disrupting business.

United Paving Company came highly recommended on Angie's List ... and with good reason. Their initial estimate was fair and in our price range, and the work done was superior in quality. And when their site foreman recognized that the crushed stone driveway really didn't need any additional stone, he called me immediately and recommended just recompacting the existing driveway, saving us an additional $500.



(The only small nit I can pick: It was difficult to get an updated status as to when our construction would start, but that's understandable during the peak summertime construction season. But once it was scheduled, the work was done on time and under budget.)

Job was quickly completed.  One day for excavation and a day for paving.

My salesman and the crew that worked on the driveway were excellent.  They went out of there way to accomodate everything we asked for.

United Paving Company were wonderful. They were high-spirited, friendly and even took the time to pet the dog. Their quality of work was excellent and they were very professional. We checked their pricing with a few other companies and they came under all of them. It was a three day project and they put down the gravel first and it rained which caused them concern. They moved it back once again and did the preparation once again. It cost them some time but they did not charge for it. I would use them in the future.      

Very good work.  I got a couple of estimates from companies I found on Angie's List and United Paving was the lowest price for the same scope of work.  I had a good feeling about Dave Steuerwald right away when he came over to do the estimate.  He was very professional, polite and answered all of my questions in a straight-forward manner.  Throughout the project, Dave was very responsive and easy to work with.  The crew that performed the work was also very professional, polite and did good work.  I arrived home from work when they were completing the gravel base and the crew answered my questions, described in detail what steps in the process were completed.  Mr. Steurwald then followed up with a phone call explaining the timeline for completing the asphalt installation (dependant on weather).  The driveway is now complete and looks great.  Receiving information on how to care for the new asphalt (by phone and through the mail) was also very much appreciated.

It was great working with United Paving! They were a smaller local company that had good service. The price was very fair and the work looked great. They did a border on the side of my driveway that looked like real bricks. I would highly recommend them.
