"Mike does great work for a reasonable price. He’s a great communicator, he’s timely, and he does exceptional work with quick turnaround. Mike installed six new lights in our dining room, having to cut and feed new electrical as it was not preexisting. He also installed new dimmer switches. The room is SO much lighter and brighter now. Additionally, he put in replacement lighting in our kitchen and hallway. He put down tarp to help avoid mess and swept and vacuumed up all the dust and particles after he was done. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!"

"We called Current Electric initially for the replacement of our ceiling light fixture (~16ft ceiling, and a 50+lb existing fixture.) We were scheduled right away (for a few days out,) and they sent two people for the job, because of the weight of the fixture. Joseph W. and his associate were extremely professional, polite, and skilled at their work. Our fixtures were switched out in under 30min, they updated the dimmer for improved LED capability, and were able to replace a GFCI outlet outside that had been rusted out from being improperly "fixed" before we bought our house. They also gave us quotes for other things. All in all, their quotes came in a tad over what we had seen online/called around about, but the service kind of makes up for it. The peace of mind and professionalism is worth a lot. We will definitely be calling them back!"

"First off, our remodel design was challenging, in regards to fitting everything we wanted into a set space.  The design process was very interactive, and the solution Roger came up with was perfect.  As always in a remodel, small issues arise, and every one was dealt with in a timely manner, and very professionally.  The contractors hired were polite, safe and hard working.  Roger was there throughout the entire process.  The time table we had was short, and Roger made sure he met the schedule.  The costs were well communicated, and did not overrun projections.  Overall,  i would highly recommend Kitchen Krafters for any remodel.

Framing, install, flashing & drywall finish of skylights was done very good.  These triple glazed skylights are "SUPER" energy efficient & add so much light daytime & star filled nighttime when it is not cloudy in SE WI.  Linda has awesome CSR skill & Scott & Dave delivered "as promised" service.  Thank you "TEAM WATRY"

"Ryan is very intelligent. He fixed my pantry light that was suppose to shut off automatically. He repaired deck boards, installed 2 tables and helped arrange my deck. He can do anything I need done, so I will be calling him regularly when I need help."

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is possible to hang a chandelier without wiring, but it depends on the design of both the chandelier and your ceiling. Many homeowners use plug-in pendant lights, adhesive hook and cord pendants, or nonelectrical light sources to hang a chandelier without wiring.

Whether it's a style overhaul, a home revamp, or a change of scenery, removing a chandelier often comes with challenges. The complexity lies in the tricky installation of these fixtures. Delicate crystals, intricate frames, and the elevated placement of chandeliers make this removal one that requires finesse. Striking the right balance between aesthetics and practicality and ensuring electrical safety during the process adds difficulty to an otherwise straightforward task.

There aren't any hard and fast rules about how far recessed lights should be from the wall. It depends on your needs for the lighting. For instance, if you want to highlight a specific piece of art on the wall, you'll want to install lighting close to it. But if you want to illuminate an entire room, you might want your lighting farther from the wall.

A general guideline of one-and-a-half to three feet from the wall is a good place to start, but in the end, you want to make sure the lighting meets your unique needs.

Yes, soft white light has a yellowish hue. Its color temperature is around 2700K to 3000K, which gives it a warm, cozy appearance similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. This yellowish tone makes it ideal for creating a relaxing atmosphere in living spaces such as bedrooms and living rooms.

The process of installing a pendant light is actually quite simple. If you’ve ever learned how to install a light fixture of any kind, you’ll already know what to do. Pendant light installation consists of connecting wires from your home circuit to the fixture, securely installing it to a mounting bracket in the ceiling, and assembling the rest of the light—simple as that. If you’re not sure about installing your own lights, you can always get in touch with a local light installation company to lend a hand.
