"They were great. I recently opened my new suite and needed flooring that wouldn’t ruin the base boards and the carpet. They did just that. They finished in a day and some hours. Also I needed them pretty last minute and he came asap and started working on the floors. It looks amazing. Highly recommend."

"We did not use All About Floors, because we have not yet selected a flooring contractor, and are reluctant to use the recommended product.  The gentleman we spoke with was a co-owner, and was very nice, responsive, and knowledgeable.  We visited the show room, and he visited our home.  He was very generous with his time and advice.  He recommended the three main providers of luxury vinyl tile (LVT), but we have come to doubt the products based on information from people who had it installed.  (They did not have it installed by All About Floors.)  We have since discovered an improved LVT product from Shaw Floors, and may contact All About Floors again for an estimate of this product.

Carpet Stretching questions, answered by experts

Carpet stretching can be a worthwhile investment to increase the lifespan of your carpet and eliminate unsightly wrinkles, ridges, and ripples. For an older carpet that is in relatively good condition aside from some wrinkling or bubbling, restretching can make it look like new and extend its life by at least a couple of years. You should consider restretching when you notice looseness or other related issues.

However, it's important to note that stretching will not fix issues like stains, wear in the pile, or discoloration. Consider replacing the carpet instead if the repair cost is more than 50% of the price of a new one. Additionally, if your carpet is past its expected lifespan of five to 15 years, or if it has been stretched multiple times already, replacement is likely a better option.

Typically, it takes a few hours, depending on the extent and area of repairs needed.

Steam cleaning is the best way to clean a carpet to enhance the color and texture of the fibers. You can either rent a steam cleaner and clean the carpet yourself or hire a local carpet cleaning team for a more thorough pass.

Standard padding works like a sponge. It absorbs liquid, soaking up every drop of moisture that hits it. Moisture barrier padding does the opposite because it has a waterproof coating made of plastic film, rubber, or treated foam. It doesn’t absorb spills and keeps them on the surface instead, so you can clean them up before they damage your subfloor.

You can use a carpet patch to replace a single section of carpet. You’ll cut out the damaged section and then replace it with a caret patch. The patch should be the same color as the existing carpet. You can also hire a professional carpet repair company to get it done.
