"I mean-the majority of 5 star reviews say it all. Patrick was a delight to work with--and I can truly call him a FRIEND! We hired him to complete our dream master bathroom remodel, as well as remodeling our laundry room. All I can say is-HIRE HIM. Our project went above and beyond our expectations and we are so happy with the outcome. Our project was a large one-including knocking down walls, re-configuring the master bath and laundry room, and installation of a CUSTOM tiled walk in shower. I worked closely with Patrick in picking out every single item, which also allowed me to learn some tricks and skills along the way too. Patrick is one of the nicest humans I've had the pleasure to meet and I would hire him again in a second."

TIME 2 REMODEL, LLC is located in Madison, Wisconsin. Curt Dimmig has owned & operated his own business since 1999. Curt is a 3rd generation carpenter and started working in the remodeling business as a child in his parents kitchen & bath remodeling business. He often worked side by side with his father and mother designing, building and installing custom kitchens & baths. Since then, his range of skill, knowledge and experience has continued to grow to an award winning level. The time it takes to figure out a remodel project is what we take PRIDE IN HELPING our customers with. We stand out with our CREATIVE SOLUTIONS and by PERSONALLY ASSISTING you with all your selections (plumbing, cabinetry, tile, flooring, etc) while walking you through the remodeling process.

"Time 2 Remodel had completed a full gut and remodel of my master bath in 2016. (See review from 2/16/2017) Overall, they did a very good job. My only concern was the tile work on the shower. After about 2 years, the grout on the wall started to wear away. Then by year three, I noticed that mold started to build up along certain sections of the floor and lower wall grout. It would go away with scrubbing, but then return within 1-2 weeks. I've got really bad eyesight, but when I got up close, I found 5 small holes in the grout ranging from 1/8" to 1/2 inch--along with several sections where it had worn pretty thin. It appeared that water was getting through the grout holes and behind the tile, causing mold. While the warranty for the work had long expired, I called Time 2 Remodel to at least evaluate and bid out the repair. The response was always, "we're really busy, but we will send our tiler out soon." After about 4 months of the same response, it didn't seem like they were interested in fixing (even getting paid to do so) their prior work. After 6 months of not using our shower, which was full of holes, I hired a different tiler to come out, remove all the grout, clean out all the mold, and regrout, which cost about $1000 (not as bad as it could have been) The good thing about the original Time 2 Remodel work was that the waterproofing behind the tile seemed sound. It just would have been nice had they been willing to stand behind their tile/grout work which should have lasted decades had it been installed properly."

We are a custom home remodeling company serving Madison, WI & Dane County. Our services include whole home remodeling, new home design & building, kitchen remodeling, basement remodeling, home additions, decks, pergolas, pavilions, and three season rooms.

"Legacy Custom Remodeling built a beautiful custom home. Josh and his team were very attentive, easy to get a hold of, organized, timely, and they had a keen eye for detail. Throughout the entire process they were cognoscente of my budget and found creative solutions to give me the look I was after all while remaining within my budget. Legacy Custom Remodeling has great connections to qualified and skilled contractors that live up to their expectations and quality of work. Josh and his employees meticulously monitored the work done by contracted companies to ensure that the job was carried out in a timely manner while upholding their commitment to great craftsmanship. Their sister company, Wisconsin Cabinetry made all the custom cabinets and vanities in the home. I must have given them 100 different images of the style, wood, and color. They clearly have talented and artistic staff because the end product was more than I could have imagined...they totally nailed it (pun intended). Legacy Custom Remodeling and Wisconsin Cabinetry were very patient through the design and decision making process, which made the whole project stress free and fun. Although they have remodeling in the name, they sure can build beautiful new homes!"

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

Yes, onyx is more expensive than granite because of its rarity, delicate nature, and specialized care. Its luxurious appearance and ability to be backlit also add to the cost, making it a premium choice for homeowners.

Several kitchen sink sizes are available, with a standard sink size being 30 inches long. Smaller sinks exist, but your options are more limited. If you have a lot of kitchen space, you may consider installing an extra-large sink, which measures 39 inches long or even larger. Typically, when choosing a replacement sink, the easiest option is to choose a size that matches your existing sink's size.

Corian® is a popular countertop alternative to quartz. Created from an acrylic resin and natural minerals, Corian® resembles quartz and offers some similar benefits, but it comes at a cheaper price. Corian® countertops cost an average of $26 to $65 per square foot, which is less than half of what quartz countertops usually cost. The downside is that Corian® isn’t as durable as quartz, particularly regarding its resistance to scratches and high temperatures.

Concrete and granite are both extremely durable materials. One isn’t necessarily better than the other. It depends on what you’re looking for. That said, granite is less costly and requires less maintenance. Furthermore, concrete is more prone to staining and cracking, though you can patch the cracks using a concrete patching compound.

Most recycled glass countertops are nonporous, so they don’t require sealant. There is, however, one major exception. If your recycled glass countertop contains a cement binder, it’ll require an additional layer of protection. Seal these countertops once or twice a year. Use a concrete sealant and finish it with a food-safe wax for a gorgeous and shiny finish. Otherwise, just clean the countertop regularly and always use a cutting board.
