Customers say: True professional

"Top notch in every way. Kasey (sales/customer service) and Antonio (owner/installer) were very professional, very conscientious, very friendly, and enjoyable to work with. We had our 21-year old countertop replaced with a beautiful quartz slab, and could not be any happier with the transformation. With the other changes we made (new flooring, wallpaper removed and walls repainted), our kitchen has gone from quite ordinary to very beautiful! We could not be any happier with the results. And we would definitely recommend Stone Concepts to anyone looking for a the right contractor."

"We used Kegonsa Remodeling for a major kitchen renovation in a nearly 100-year-old house. Before the remodel everything in the kitchen looked cheap and worn down (think 1970s brown, everywhere!), and the overall arrangement of the space was really inefficient. They came in and proposed a design that was the best balance of affordability and ideal features out of half a dozen contractors we interviewed. Once we began working with them, they provided consistent updates and met with us on a regular basis, enough so that even with unavoidable pandemic slowdowns, it still felt like the project was always moving forward. Once the remodel began, they had nearly daily updates for us on what was coming next, and the project actually finished ahead of schedule! Now we have a kitchen that has at least 3x the workspace, a significantly improved flow, and easily twice as much storage as our previous one did. We get compliments all the time, and recommend Kegonsa's work any chance we get!"

"From a distance the job looks great, but after more carefully observation some portions look great, other areas have scratches and imperfections that show thru. Even with these observations, I must ait the tub looks much better than before it was refinished. The part that has me quite upset and disappointed is that I am found overspray on the cabinets, toilet, counter, and stone flooring. Fortunately I am optimistic that will be able remove the overspray. I have been able to remove from countertop and toilet so far. Buyer be warned.........

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

While epoxy resin is generally durable, it is not scratch-proof. Some sources state it is highly resistant to scratches from minor sources, while others note it can scratch and chip easily from sharper or heavier items. To prevent damage, always use a cutting board and avoid sliding heavy or rough-bottomed objects across the surface. If a scratch does occur, be aware that epoxy can be difficult to repair by sanding, often requiring an orbital sander for effective results.

Concrete countertops require regular upkeep to maintain their appearance and durability, and are generally considered harder to maintain than other materials. For daily cleaning, use a mild, pH-neutral cleaner and avoid harsh, acidic products that can damage the sealant. It is crucial to wipe up spills immediately, especially from acidic substances, as concrete stains easily. To protect against stains and moisture, the countertops must be resealed periodically—at least once a year, if not more frequently. Additionally, use a cutting board to avoid scratching the surface. Be aware that concrete is also prone to cracking over time, which may require repairs.

Painting your countertops is a good idea if you want to spruce up your kitchen or bathroom without having to install brand-new counters. It's also cost-effective, and it's a project that most DIYers can take on. Since there are so many paint colors to choose from, you'll be able to easily customize your countertops to fit your home's aesthetic.

Yes, installing new quartz countertops can increase your home’s value. Updating your counters with a durable material like quartz that will last decades is a great investment.

Corian® is a popular countertop alternative to quartz. Created from an acrylic resin and natural minerals, Corian® resembles quartz and offers some similar benefits, but it comes at a cheaper price. Corian® countertops cost an average of $26 to $65 per square foot, which is less than half of what quartz countertops usually cost. The downside is that Corian® isn’t as durable as quartz, particularly regarding its resistance to scratches and high temperatures.
