The job turned out to be much tougher than expected—the old cement was nearly impossible to break up and the clay ground was hard to dig deeper for the required dept —but Ken handled it like a pro, using a jackhammer and digging through hard clay soil without complaint. Despite the extra work and materials needed, he stuck to his original price even when I asked to pay him more, which speaks volumes about his integrity. He returned a few days later to assemble the hoop, and the final result was perfect—every measurement was spot-on. Ken went above and beyond, and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again. We were interested in having a composite deck with metal railing so I would never have to perform any maintenance in the future. We had our project quoted from a number of companies. Upon review, we decided on Woodrite carpentry because of the referral as well as the quote which was considerably less cost. The company is a small operation so the work is performed by one or two people. The work was very well done, in fact we could not have been happier. The detail work was great, the carpenter talked us though the process whenever there was a question. Great job of cleaning up. I was a little hesitant on selecting them because it was a smaller company but do not regret it know. The finished product specks for itself."
