"It was such a pleasure dealing with them. I spoke with Rich who was very reassuring. He even texted back to me in the evening when I texted him in a moment of panic. He assigned Justin to my case who arrived even earlier than scheduled, He listened to me--at times I was a little hyper because I was so worried. Asked if he could remove tiles. Explained what he saw. Used a tool to measure moisture in various areas like ceiling, paneling, etc. Shared what he believed to be the issue. Cleaned up the moldy patch and sprayed a larger area to disinfect. Gave me instructions on how to manage and watch area to avoid mold in the future. Super professional. If I recall right I believe this is a company with vets and those willing to serve, but are unable. That appealed to me. They have had my back so I am happy to have theirs. God bless. "I sent a message via Angieslist to GF Company asking if they intalled steel roofing or siding. The next day I received this reply. "Thank you for your interest in GF Company. Please feel free to contact our offices at 815-547-0159 to schedule a free estimate. " Now, I could have called them instead of sending a message. I know that. They didn't have to tell me that. But It would have been nice if they had answered my question. A simple yes or no would have sufficed. So I sent my request again making it clear that this was my second request. Two days later I got this. "In response to your questions, we install skylights, steel siding, and steel roofing. If you are still interested in a free estimate, please feel free to contact our offices at 815-547-0159. Thank you." So, was that so hard? I'm not impressed and not inclined to call them. First impressions matter!"

"All I can say is Wow! Jake did an amazing job on our master walk in shower tile and our tub surround tile. He also was so helpful tiling our kitchen back splash and incorporated and designed the tile from around our fireplace into the backsplash! He did an amazing job and was so awesome to work with! "I hired Affordable Remodeling to replace the flooring in the living room, kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Also to replace the countertops in the kitchen and 2 bathrooms, to build and replace the main bathroom vanity, to replace 3 toilets, and to put up a backsplash on one of the kitchen walls. Silas, my main contractor did a wonderful job on everything!! Very pleased with his workmanship and the outcome of the remodeling project."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
