"Our gravel driveway is 1/4 mile+ long and it was pot-holing really bad. We hired Rob and his crew to lay more 3/4â  TB and recycled asphalt over that. It was compacted, rolled, and turned out fantastic. Itâ  s as close to an actual asphalt driveway as you can get without spending a fortune. Rob is an outstanding communicator and you can tell with his suggestions and willingness to walk you through the process that he has an unmitigated passion for his business and what he does. "We had great service from Seth and his crew. Our sump pumps were running almost 24/7. Seth came over right away when I first contacted him and gave us great cost effective suggestions. After they were done, the problems were all resolved. The work involved redirecting the drainage from all our downspouts, installing yards of drain pipes and some catch basins, regrading and re-seeding the yard all around the house, They also helped us with our many â While-youâ re-at-itsâ . If you’re widening your driveway and plan on widening the apron as well, you’ll usually need a permit from the Department of Transportation in your area. Concrete is generally more durable, lasting up to 50 years with minimal upkeep, and offers more customization options like staining and stamping, which can add more to a home's value. However, it is more expensive upfront and can be prone to cracking in cold climates where water can freeze and expand.

Asphalt is typically cheaper and quicker to install and is easier to repair. It performs better in colder climates. However, it requires more maintenance, including regular resealing, has a shorter lifespan, and can get hot and sticky in intense sunlight.
