My husband and I were in Chicago when MiniMoves came to get the furniture. The crew leader, Chava, and his assistant let us know they would have to move our time two hours later because their previous appointment ran over. We appreciated them keeping in contact and warning us they might be late but they actually ended up getting there sooner than they were expecting to be able to do. The two of them got right to work and wrapped each piece of furniture in a moving blanket, then secured the padded blanket with tape. Then they basically encased each item in clear plastic secured with more tape. We had two book shelves, a desk chair, a desk, a large dresser, and a bench in addition to a large bed wall unit consisting of two large pier cabinets (each almost ceiling height), a headboard storage cabinet, a light bridge connecting the two piers, two mirrors that fit between the headboard and the light panel, and of course the mattress, box springs and frame. Chava and his assistant were very polite, showing kindness and respect to the grieving family members who were present. We appreciated that they knew their way around the senior facility; it was their third move of the day at the place. They were very careful with our stuff and had the right equipment to move the heavy items without damaging them. They got everything loaded and were on their way. We felt they did an excellent job. Since we were not in a hurry to get the furniture, especially with the holidays being so busy, we were not upset about waiting nearly a month for it. Toward the end of our window for delivery, we got a call from Angelo, the scheduling coordinator, telling us our delivery day and a two-hour time window. The two-man crew arrived promptly with a rental truck and we were relieved to find them every bit as courteous and professional as the crew on the Illinois end. Eric and Tay delivered our stuff without a scratch. They unwrapped it and cleaned up the wrappings, moved it into position in the room we wanted and took great care to reassemble the wall of bedroom furniture with the complicated light/mirror attachment. We were extremely pleased with the service. We feel that by the time we would have paid for a one-way rental truck and fuel and help to load the heavy furniture, we would have spent a lot, possibly hurt ourselves, and probably damaged the furniture. At this stage of our lives we feel it was worth it. If you can be decisive and clear about what items you will include and flexible about the timing, we would recommend this company for moving items that make too small a load to hire a traditional interstate moving company. We have nothing but good to say about the top-notch crews who took care of our move.

He was more than willing to work with us, he built in a wall cabinet I had repurposed and installed decorative talavera tile and sink I provided. He brought in the electrician and plumber without any delay for both the initial rough installation and the final finish work and he worked with the tile setter, who was unbelievably particular. All the work turned out beautifully. The few snags he ran into (this is a 100+ year old house) he took care of immediately and well. The only minor downside was he was somewhat optimistic as to when he could start so it all began somewhat later than we initially thought. We were not under any deadline so it was not an issue. Throughout the entire project everything was kept as contained as humanly possible. I was expecting a much bigger 'mess' as the house is so old and it's all plaster. Even having to have the wet tile saw inside the house because of the frigid temps was not a problem. The entire project took 3 weeks to complete which I didn't think was excessive at all considering it was taken down to the studs and subfloor and an entire doorway was moved over. When their salesperson came out, he viewed the existing bathroom, took measurements and provided us with a quote. Our home is nearly 100 years old and the original bath had been updated when we purchased the home 18 years ago. The oversized tub was great and I specifically pointed it out. When measurements were taken - of a tub that was clearly installed with a surround, not regular walls - it measured 30.5". The comment was made about the size that tubs are generally 30 or 32" I was told the 32" tub was larger than mine and would of course be that much further into a very small bathroom. This becomes very important later. We also talked about the fact that the house was out of square and I even pointed out what the window installer had to go through to get things level when we had them replaced. We finally decided to go with the 'standard' 30" tub to "match" the current size and the surround, as well as replace the sink and vanity. Total cost, after the 'show' and same day downpayment discounts was $5992 and would take about 8 weeks for the 'custom made to fit your space' materials to show up. That was only about 2 or 3 weeks too optimistic. The installation was finally scheduled the Thursday and Friday before Memorial Day. My son was home from college for the "should only take one day" installation. When I arrived home from work, I had no sink in my bathroom and a partially finished install on a tub that was SMALLER than the one it was replacing. Smaller by 1.5" there was a gap between the tub and the flooring and when I saw how small the tub was, I hit the roof. I immediately called ReBath and spoke with Brian - who assured me they would do whatever it took to make things right for me and that in the meantime he had 'something' to fill the space between the tub and the flooring. Also, the gap between the surround in one corner was over .5"and I was concerned that they would just caulk over it. The next day, the job was finally finished. I called ReBath again, this time speaking with Pat, who assured me Brian would be out with the estimator to see things in person but that it would be after the holiday. I was promised a call to let me know when. The holiday passed, the week passed, no call back. Finally the middle of the following week I got a call back - and everything fell apart. "What would you like me to do?" Seriously? Rip it out and replace it. I can't stand it, and wanted to cry every time time I looked at that tiny tub. I ride a bike and there are days when I get home and want to just soak in the tub. Not going to happen now. I told Pat I measured across the tub they put in - from the surround to the edge - and it was 28.5" Obviously when a tub is installed with a surround, part of it is UNDER the surround. Their estimator must have known that, right? That's when the lies started. I was told my old tub had a "funky double lip on it" which they "couldn't possibly have known about that was hidden under the wall." When I asked WHY when they measured my tub and it was 30" (they told me 30.5 but of course that isn't written down anywhere, just the 30") didn't they realize that part of it was under a surround? Pat's response was "you should have told us. He was IN MY BATHROOM AND SAW IT! I was told I would get another call back to let me know what was going on and when they would come out to see it. One week, two weeks, nothing. Finally another call. No, they aren't coming out. No, there was no backer rod put in before caulking because they use an expansion sealer. Besides, it's guaranteed for life, what's the problem. No, they didn't make a mistake with the tub. I was told there was nothing they could do about it. When I asked them why an allowance wasn't made for the existing tub being installed with a surround, Brian told me they did. How was that possible? If their properly installed tub measured 28.5" across after installation, how could my tub measuring 30 (or 30.5" as I was told by the estimator) be the same size? He kept telling me I didn't understand, that they measured correctly. This was on a Friday. I was promised another call back either Saturday or Monday. Each time I was called by ReBath, they called my cell phone. It was listed on the contract as the number to call. No call Saturday, no call Monday. No call for 10 days. Then I get a message on my answering machine on my home phone from Pat - asking when I'm going to pay the balance due. That's when I grabbed the contract and looked at the fine print on the back. If not paid in 30 days, you lose all discounts. Bingo! And I was within days of hitting that mark. I called back again and after being treated very rudely by both Pat and Brian - on the line at the same time - and told in no uncertain terms that they didn't make mistakes, I swore and hung up. Brian called me back nearly immediately and chastised me for swearing. He then said "do you want a discount or not?" I said I did. So they offered me a whopping $200 - off a $6000 job - for screwing up and making it my fault. On top of all of this, the corner shelf unit does NOT match the tub - as they promise in their brochures, the grab bar they installed was the wrong one and they didn't put a finishing board on the base of the vanity. We also made the mistake of recommending them to a friend - who contracted to have his entire bathroom remodeled. Our friend had found a sink they wanted installed and the estimator (same guy) looked it up in their catalog and wrote a model number down. Guess what - wasn't anything at all like it, but just like with us, ReBath didn't make a mistake and it was all written in the contract, so it must be the homeowner's error. I despise my bathroom. I can't stand the tiny little tub. I can't soak in it and when you take a shower, you brush against the shower curtain (they did offer to give me a curved rod to solve "my" problem - I declined). More importantly, I was belittled and treated as if I was stupid and couldn't possibly understand the intricacies of bathroom remodling. It was about 10' from either. The branches of the tree were scraping against the roof shingles (we have a very high 2-story home), and providing an easy access route for squirrels to get on our roof and into the attic. The tree had to go.
I contacted Affordable Tree Care via their internet site, and they responded within 24 hours. We made arrangements for me to mark the tree, so that they could have their arborist come over and give us a quote. We received the quote within a week (slight delay due to the Thanksgiving holiday), and we found their quote to be fair. We specifically asked for the tree to be carefully brought down, so as not to damage the home, or block the driveway. I told them that my neighbor and I would take care of the debris.
I signed and returned the work agreement, and was told that they would call me approximately 1-2 days before they would preform the work. This was the only part of the process that I did not find to be "Excellent", since it was another two weeks before the work was performed. I still rate them "Good" in responsiveness, because they must have just had other jobs already on the schedule,
They brought down the tree in sections, and I was very satisfied with their work. This is clearly a very professional operation (they provided a certificate of insurance with their quote, and had all of the large equipment necessary to get the job done safely), and performed the job in a very professional manner. I would definitely use them again."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/wi/sturtevant/affordable-tree-care-llc-reviews-2083554.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"D & D Air Conditioning and Heating, Inc.","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"WI","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Kraig M."},"reviewBody":"3 year old townhome inwhich Dand D originally installed New Rudd system 3 years ago.. There technician Robert said I must have a very slow leak and performed a leak test for an additional $64 fee. Robert performed the leak test and reported the 3 year old Ruud Evaporator Coil was leaking and I need to pay an additional $550 labor to change the warranty part. I tried to schedule the permanant repair for 5 weeks later but Dand D couldn't get the warranty part in time. I then scheduled the repair with another vendor Sunset A/C who was able to perform the work in the 5 week time frame. When the Sunset came out I asked that they first verify the leak. They used a leak tool all around in the attic especialy in the back of the Evaporator Coil where Dand D claimed the leak existed and found no leak. Sunset then checked outside at the condensor coil and found a leak at the suction king valve cap. I asked the Sunset Technician if he thought I still needed the Evaporator coil and he said not in his opinion. I called Dand D right away to try to get there guys out to show where the leak was on the condensor but they didn't return my call for two days. When I called a third time I learned there technicians were too busy with the Holidays and I needed to call the manager on Monday. I checked with my friends who were on site for the November Dand D service call and they told me that Dand D never checked for any leaks at the outside condenser. I called the maintenance Manager at Dand D Air Conditioning (Dave) on Monday and complained that the Dand D didn't do a complete leak detect and the real leak was outside at the King valve condensor coil cap. Since Dand D says they warranty there work I asked Dave for compensation for the 2nd service call for $190 that wouldn't have been necessary Dave at Dand D said no. I asked Dave for a refund on his leak search and again he also said no. They talk about full warranty on there work but don't back it up!! They REFUSE to STAND BEHIND there WORK.!!! "Had a great experience with this crew. They built a paver patio in one day—super efficient, clean, and professional work. Price was the most competitive of out of 4 different companies I got quotes from. Communication was solid throughout, they stayed in touch regularly from quote to completion. They double-checked everything with me to make sure it was what I wanted. As a bonus, they removed some extra turf near the patio and filled in some bald spots in my lawn, which saved me a ton of effort. Quality of the work is great. Would absolutely recommend and hire again for future projects."
