Small jobs welcome

"I was VERY impressed with the level of service I received from Christine and her team! From start to finish, she showed a sense of "hustle" and a drive to meet my needs. When I requested a quote on Angis List after hours, I wasn't expecting to hear from anyone until the next day. But within a few minutes, Christine contacted me via text and shared pricing and availabitlity. While she was willing to make room on their schedule to fit me in the following afternoon, I opted to wait until the next day. She set up an appointment for "sometime after 11AM", and arrived promptly and ready to work. 4 hours later, our home was free of contractors dust and cleaner than it had been in years! We cannot recommend Christine and her time any more highly..."

"RJ with Clean Air Restoration came over and started clean up the same day after my basement was flooded because of a sewer back up. The crew came out and cleaned up everything, sanitized it and made it safe for us to be down there."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The average house cleaner cost is around $180, which should cover about four hours of work. However, each project is different and costs can range from $100 to $1,000, depending on the house size and the cleaning needed. Other cost factors can include your location and what level of cleaning you want. Standard or basic cleaning may include vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting the kitchen and bathrooms. Deep cleaning costs about twice as much and often includes cleaning behind and underneath furniture, washing windows, and polishing hard-to-clean surfaces. Emergency cleaning, extreme cleaning, and holidays also impact pricing. Move-in and move-out cleaning typically cost more, too, because of the extensive, whole-house cleaning involved.

Steam mopping effectively cleans and sanitizes floors to kill germs and remove ingrained grease and grime. However, vacuuming or sweeping the flooring first is always a good idea. This removes the larger dust and debris particles that can end up being pushed around the floor by a non-suctioning steam cleaner.

While not always necessary, daily vacuuming can be beneficial, especially in busy households with hairy pets or people with allergies. Just be aware that this frequent cleaning schedule increases flooring and appliance wear and tear. Use the appropriate setting and brushes to go easy on carpet fibers, and regularly maintain your vacuum to increase its life span.

Clean your hardwood floors with a soft broom or flat mop about once a week to remove dirt and grit. Focus on high-traffic areas and areas just inside the major entryways twice a week. Deep clean your floors with water and a cleaning solution about once every two months.

It's not a great idea to clean gas stove grates in the dishwasher. Most iron grates, even with a protective coating, can corrode when exposed to the heavy washing process. Instead, soak your stove grates in gentle soapy water for up to 30 minutes, and remove any grease and grime by hand to be safe.
