"Tim installed 2 wall mount frame TV’s and a “Ring” Alarm system with cameras in my home! He did a great job! He was very helpful in determining the products I needed and determining the best location to install the security cameras, lights & other devices. He’s very knowledgeable about the products and did a terrific job demonstrating and explaining how everything worked! He did a great job removing all the boxes and cleaning up work area after he finished the job! Great guy! I’ll continue to use him for all my audio-visual and security needs and won’t hesitate to refer him to others! Thank you Tim!!!"

"I would HIGHLY recommend THX Installation for any TV home theater set up you have. We found Shanon here on Home Advisor and he promptly replied to our online quote. He set up a time to come to our home to assess the entire project. We had a large project with several items. Shanon listened to our various areas of need and provided great feedback on other options to consider. His work is flawless, he is very patient in explaining each item and how everything works. I was beyond impressed with his work ethic and am very impressed with the responsiveness to any questions. If you are doing anything in your home around upgrading TV, home theater outdoor sound, I would suggest calling Shanon to ghet a GREAT experience."

Tv Mount Install questions, answered by experts

Mounting a TV to a brick wall can be safe and secure if done correctly. However, it requires proper installation to ensure the TV is firmly attached and won't pose a risk of falling. Guarantee your television is safely secured by checking the manufacturer's weight limits of your TV mount and wall anchors. Examine the condition and quality of the brick wall to ensure it is capable of sustaining the TV.

The shorter the coaxial cable, the better. The further you run the cable, the more signal loss you'll experience. At 50 feet, you'll see significant signal loss, and by 100 feet, you'll experience at least a 30% drop in signal strength.

There are a few easy ways to locate a wall stud without a stud finder. First, try knocking on the wall with your knuckles. Most parts of the wall will sound hollow, but when you tap over a stud, it will sound more solid. Alternatively, since studs are spaced 16 or 24 inches apart, you can measure those distances from a corner of the room, which will always have a stud.

If you don’t have studs in the area where you want to install your TV mount, you may still be able to install a TV mount on drywall. The easiest way to install a mount on drywall is by using drywall anchors—but not just any plastic anchors. Choose molly bolts or toggle anchors, which have a weight capacity of around 50 pounds. For added support, consider pairing drywall anchors with a wall mounting plate. Extra heavy TVs may need to be mounted via the ceiling joists or beams.

Finding a professional to mount your television to the wall is a little challenging because no licenses exist for this type of work. You could ask friends or neighbors for recommendations. Check out online reviews, too. Typically, though, almost any local handyman can do the work. A local electronics store or the place where you bought the TV may have a recommendation for you. A local framer or drywall installer might do the work for you as well. If you need an outlet installed for the new TV, an electrician may do both items for you.
