Barrington Pools' design and construction process provides outdoor living possibilities customized to clients' needs. For homeowners that need the best quality and technology in swimming pools, spas, patios, and landscapes, Barrington Pools offers turn-key design and construction services that are supported after installation by maintenance plans. Our award-winning designs are recognized nationally, but our customers, who frequently refer others, are our best advertisement.

"No reply from company at all. Not even an email saying the job wasn't in their parameters or that they were too busy. Very disappointed that we did not even receive a courtesy reply."

"April 2022 Update: Going on the fourth year of our miserable experience with our pool. We just paid for our pool to be opened by Anchor and the situation with the wrinkles in our liner have gotten worse. We have not heard anything since last year of which they dug a hole in our yard to "see" if they could find the issue and have not found anything. It is a continual process of us following up with them to get a status. We have never once gotten a response from them without us first reaching out to see where things stand. Their billing department is the only form of communication which seems timely and informative. If anyone is looking to use their company and wants a full account of our experience than please feel free to reach out me personally. *** Update in long going saga with our pool. Let me first say Larry (the owner) is a nice guy with I believe good intentions. The staff do what looks like a good job maintaining water clarity and chemical balancing. My 1 star review has everything to do with the actual construction and installation of our pool itself. We had our pool installed in 2017. By 2018 we had a liner issue where wrinkles started to show along the side and bottom. When we brought this up we were told the issue was our fault and caused by ph balance related issues. We did not believe this to be the case and after research online it sounded more like water related issues getting behind the liner itself. We did not know better and said ok. They replaced the liner which we incurred an expense to do. After the new liner was installed we paid for the highest level weekly/monthly service to maintain all of the equipment and chemical balancing. This was solely maintained by Anchor and their staff. They open the pool, maintain the water the entire season, maintain all of the equipment and then close the pool. The following year we noticed wrinkles again. After investigation they now claim the water table in the ground is the issue. Amazing the tune changed after we paid for a full year of full service from the? They ended up ripping up our back yard to install additional drainage and smoothed out the wrinkles the best they could. We had to repair the yard when they were done at our own expense. The wrinkles came back yet again and are now present all over the side of the liner. After nearly one full year of back and forth we still do not have a solution. We still have a liner with wrinkles. We are still paying for all of their services. (pictures attached of what wrinkles look like) I have no doubt something was not constructed properly during the install of the pool and as such we have taken the burden of dealing with it. This has been a problem for almost 3 years. Although we do like Larry and the staff we cannot recommend their service to anyone. Although we have no experience with other pool companies we would recommend to look elsewhere for a better solution."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

To refill a hot tub after winter, start by opening up the tub and giving it a quick cleaning. If you use antifreeze, drain out the water then grab a hose and thoroughly clean the tub shell out, spraying water into each jet of the tub.

Reconnect the hot tub and turn the power back on. When it’s time to fill the tub again, insert the hose into the filter well (if available). Avoid trapping too much air in the water lines, which can cause the pump to lock up when it starts again. Add the necessary chemicals and start the heating process. It will take some time—most of a full day—for the water to heat up again.

Shocking your hot tub means adding extra chemicals to the water. Most spa experts recommend doing this once a week for proper hot tub maintenance, but you can do it more if needed. Shocking has multiple benefits, including preventing the water from becoming murky and it’s essential in removing harmful bacteria from the water.

Yes, hot tubs are meant to be kept on permanently. It takes more energy to ramp up a hot tub when you turn it on, so leaving it on all the time is more efficient for your hot tub. You can turn the temperature down if you know you won’t be using it for an extended period of time to save on energy costs.

You should put chlorine in your hot tub on a regular basis. To keep bacteria away, keep the chlorine level in your hot tub at between 3-5 mg/l, which may mean you need to add chlorine daily or at least every two to three days. Don’t add chlorine to your hot tub water more than once per day.

How often you change the water in your swim spa depends on how often you use it. Most manufacturers recommend changing the water every three to six months. If you use your swim spa throughout the seasons, it’s a good idea to set up a quarterly deep cleaning schedule. The ideal instructions should be in the owner’s manual.
