"They did a great job of repairing my tub which had some cracks in it from the installation. Was much cheaper to have it refinished than replaced as the cost of redoing the tile work was prohibitive. Caleb, the manager , was quick to respond and provided a very reasonable quote for the service. Brian , the technician, called to tell me when he would arrive. He arrived on time and did the work which turned out great. He cleaned up after the job was done and even came back in the afternoon to re-caulk around the tub. Overall a great experience. "We used JJB Home Improvements to replace 2 structural entry posts. This project also required removing and re-laying brick where the posts were anchored in the half walls. This project was very frustrating as it was impossible to diagnose exactly what was causing the post erosion without removing brick and opening up the soffit. We talked with many, many engineers and contractors and received many different point of views/recommendations. JJB was the only company that: 1) correctly diagnosed the issue before taking down the brick wall or soffit, 2) thoughtfully broke down and priced the bid into individual steps depending upon what they might find when the soffit/wall was revealed, 3) was capable/expert in doing ALL necessary repairs - - masonry, carpentry, concrete, structural. JJB’s finishing work was excellent, and it’s next to impossible to determine where the old portion of the wall stops and the new wall begins. We could always get a hold of JJB when we needed to discuss the project, and never had to wait to hear back from them. They treated this project as if it was their own home. We would (and will) use JJB over and over again in the future. Highly recommend."

Down to earth individuals who did really great work! we were caught by surprise at the water damage and mold that had occurred ( from a leak in the dishwasher), Chris did a wonderful assessment, told us all the steps and gave us a very fair price. He noted further improvements to be done with the lighting (previous improper installation) and need for access panel (for wiring of our dehumidifier) : and he took care of it!! (also took care of an extra "ding" in the drywall in a nearby closet) when they did their work, everything was taped off professionally and sealed, all tile and appliances protected. I was very impressed and it was such a relief to see their professional workmanship for this stressful time. They came multiple days (over a few weeks), texted/called my husband with updates on days in-between treatment and were respectful of our house and time. "Mastercat is genuinely awesome!!!  I had been having health issues, including hives and fatigue.  I finally figured out that it was from mold growing in my basement.  I had an independent inspector test the surface samples and air and there was toxic black mold growing on a hidden wall in my basement and mold in the air.  Given the seriousness of the situation, I read every review on mold remediators that I could find on Angie's List!  I finally decided that Mastercat was the best option.  There was also a coupon for a discount on service.  Although the process was expensive given the extensive remediation needed in my home, it was somewhat affordable and VERY worth it.  In fact, the experience ended up paying for itself.  I had lost my diamond wedding ring when my former housekeeper cleared the basement bedroom for guests coming into town, including the box where I had hidden my wedding ring (because I had contractors working on my bathroom upstairs at the time).  I assumed that the housekeeper had accidentally thrown out the box.  Actually, it was in a storage bin and the Mastercat team found it when they were cleaning every item for mold.  They were extremely honest and gave me back my wedding ring, which is worth more than the cost of the service.  I think that they were as excited as I was to have recovered the ring for me.  Their excellent quality, of course, matches their commendable honesty!   Donny, the owner, came promptly when I initially contacted him and was very detailed in his analysis.  He explained to me exactly what needed to be done and what options I had.  The crew was headed by Donny's wife, Norma.  She is the type of person that makes sure every single item is completed with the highest level of thoroughness and professionalism.  She even made the duct cleaners re-do their work because she checked the filter after they left and they had not replaced it.  She answered all my questions and was always warm and helpful.  The rest of the team was Nicholas, Frank and Jorge.  All of them were extremely respectful and conscientious (and as I mentioned before, very honest).  They removed dry wall, ceiling tiles, carpeting and all other porous surfaces.  They tossed items that were not worth cleaning (taking it out through basement windows so as not to contaminate my upstairs living area) and made sure that they cleaned and sterilized everything that remained in the basement. They used top level products and equipment, including huge industrial air scrubbers to clean the air throughout my home.  I would highly recommend Mastercat for any mold problem!
