I was told that if in the next 3 years there was any problem that I could bring it back and I would be given a new one. The viewing screen stopped working after about 2 years so I took it in to get it replaced. I was told that they would have to send it off to some repair center and it would take 4 to 6 weeks to get it back. (This is 1 week before Christmas). When I asked about a loaner for Christmas I was told I could buy a new one from the shelf and return it for 20% restock fee. When I asked to talk to a manager I got some rude arrogant jerk that told me if I didn t like it I could take my Camera and go home. Having no choice (and no camera for Christmas) I left the camera with them. After 2 months I went to the store to find out what happened to my camera. I was told that the guy behind the counter could not find it any where in their system so I would need to come back tomorrow. When I got back the next day I was told that it was still at the repair shop and could be another 2 to 4 weeks IF they could find the parts (what the *explicit* does that mean) so I asked for the manager. After some heated discussion with the manager he told me he could give me a display model but it would not have any warranty. Again after a heated discussion with the manager and being told to take it or leave it. After more heated discussion (I found that if I raised my voice where customers could hear they were more inclined to help me. What kind of business practice is that you push your customers till they get angry before you work with them) they finely came up with a comparable camera to the one that I bought in the first place. But even though the camera was only 2 years old they said the 3 year warranty was fulfilled (because they replaced the camera) and if I wanted a warranty I had to pay for a new one. What a bunch of crap you pay for a 3 year warranty so you can get a guarantee that your product will work for at least 3 years and they screw you once they have your money."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/wa/federal-way/geek-squad--best-buy-reviews-3940391.htm"},"position":10}]}

Don't believe the price you are quoted over the phone. Demand a quote in writing that includes the extras to bring the installation up to code. In my situation, there were add-on fees which quickly increased the price by 40%. There is no excuse b/c they know what it takes to do an install...

We met the company at the Seattle home show. They are very professional and I really like the 10 years warranty that they offer which shows how confident they are with their craftsmanship. We were looking to do a whole house remodel with a second level addition. Their follow up was great....

The company was sent by the home warranty company. Came once and diagnosis the problem and report to the home warranty company and got the approval, and came back to fix it. The whole process was professional and clean.

"Hired them to remodel my basement. The work was good and they were very happy to point out when things would need to get updated but the problem was whomever they subcontracted for their plumber. They completely jackhammered through a capped drain in my basement, poured in unsealed concrete, and left it. That area was suspiciously non-level (I had also paid for them to level the floor in the basement) because it wasn't sealed and is *sinking* I didn't find out until I hired another plumber to verify the rest of the line was clear and they dumped buckets of water that just flowed out into my garage. Their "customer quality hotline"? A non-working number. I emailed and called and sent photos and plumber statements proving that they had done this, but they refused to be at fault for this. Now have to find another contractor to fix their mess."

"Absolutely atrocious experience with this company. Had issues with our fridge/freezer, so they sent a repairman. We had to defrost the entire unit for 36 hours, so lost all of our groceries. (Loss of groceries are not covered - it's in the fine print.) Fine - we'll get the fridge fixed, right? WRONG. Within a month, the same issue occurred. Sent another repairman from a different company. Had to defrost and lost everything AGAIN. Third time with the SAME issue in the past six months and they want to send ANOTHER repairman from a different company who, wait - you guessed it - needs us to defrost the entire unit AGAIN. With the cost of the plan ($655), each $90 service fee, and loss of groceries, we could've bought a brand new and BETTER fridge. Note: our fridge is still not working properly and we are out nearly $1,000 in Fidelity fees alone. Add in another ~$600 in loss of groceries, and we are nearing $2,000. Fidelity are crooks - plain and simple. They outsource their call center to countries where we can't understand the operators, and when you finally do get a manager on the line, they are extremely rude. We are 100% not renewing our contract with Fidelity. We may have to consider small claims court as well."

Home Warranties questions, answered by experts
Thankfully, many home warranties will cover R-22 replacement costs, and sometimes they even cover upgrading your HVAC. Since not all plans are the same, check if a home warranty is worth it before adding it to your annual costs. Most cost between $300 and $600 per year, which can be handy if you end up with an R-22 leak.
While a work warranty covers contractor repairs post-construction, a home warranty acts as a safety net against future breakdowns and unexpected expenses. Home warranties provide discounted repairs and replacements for essential home systems like plumbing and electricity in exchange for an annual fee.
While home warranties can provide a welcome safety net to some homeowners, they’re not a guarantee. The cost of a home warranty might not always be worth it. Other homeowners may be better off stocking away those funds in an emergency savings account in order to cover the cost of unexpected home repairs.
A seller’s home warranty normally excludes intentional damage, issues that arise due to a lack of maintenance, and cosmetic repairs. Each warranty can also have specific exclusions, like certain types of heating or cooling systems and certain components within your appliances and home systems. Most home warranties will also have coverage caps, and once you reach payouts that match the caps, all repairs will be excluded.
A home warranty usually covers electrical wiring work, depending on your specific plan. Most home warranty plans cover repairs for major appliances and home systems, including failure due to wear and tear. Home warranties aren’t as common as homeowners insurance, but they are more likely to cover old wiring.
Homeowners' insurance covers water heaters under certain circumstances. If your water heater is damaged due to a covered event, like a fire or burst pipe, your policy may pay for repairs or replacement. However, insurance won’t cover wear and tear, old age, or neglect. If a malfunctioning water heater causes water damage, your policy may help with cleanup and repairs, but not fixing or replacing the heater itself unless the damage resulted from a covered event.
