"Hunts Services was great! They called back the next morning and the technician was there after lunch. He diagnosed the problem right away. The circuit that controls the living room, front house lights, half bathroom kept tripping due to arc faults caused by a faulty fuse. It was not an easy part to find; but he found one in Bellevue, WA and replaced it quickly. Thank you Hunt’s!"

"I couldn't have hoped for a better experience. The scheduling was professional and prompt, the service was spot on and high quality. They arrive in a nice truck with lots of supplies, and do a quick estimate, then get right into it. I had a list of jobs saved up, which included installing new bathroom fixtures and new outlets. Everything was done just right and the area left clean and everything tested out to my satisfaction. No surprise in the bill and I felt it was a fair price. "In 2020 Eco Electric installed a Whole House Fan in our home. It has worked well for us and helps cool our home in the summer. Recently it stopped working. I called Eco and they sent Kyle out to diagnose our problem. Kyle was able to quickly isolate the problem to wiring in a recently installed smoke detector. He was able to fix the matter and get us back up and running. I do recommend Eco."

"It went awesome! They arrived at the scheduled time. Vlad walked me through the process and told me about steps or issue that we would run into before hand. We got the tubes installed and made sure to go over maintenance (cleaning, changing batteries in the nightlights). I'm seriously giggling with delight at my new tubes."

"The electrician that came out was named Tyler and he was extremely knowledgeable and took pride in his work. He explained everything step by step so I would understand how to add light fixtures and run lines to those light fixtures, Tyler went over various options of install and made sure I was comfortable with everything, very helpful and went the extra mile to satisfy our needs. We appreciate Home Squad and their electrical division, for all their help and strong line of communication. I would recommend these guy’s to anyone, these guys going above and beyond what is asked, they even made sure my area was cleaner than it was before they started work! First impressions, and thats all it took to get my complete service in the future when I want to upgrade my generator and solar panels."

"Fantastic. As you Wish called me literally within 5 minutes of my request for quote. We requested minimizing trips to our house given our situation and Sean was kind enough to do all of that via Facetime and provide an immediate quote. During this process, I learned I was looking at the wrong panel and later I figured out I didn't need the upgrade. Sean was equally gracious. I would hire them again when I need any electrical work based on the positive experience."

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

In place of track lighting, you can consider recessed lighting for a sleek, unobtrusive look or pendant lights to add a decorative touch. Chandeliers can create a focal point, while wall sconces offer ambient or task lighting without taking up ceiling space. Each alternative offers unique advantages, catering to different styles and functional needs.

The process of installing a pendant light is actually quite simple. If you’ve ever learned how to install a light fixture of any kind, you’ll already know what to do. Pendant light installation consists of connecting wires from your home circuit to the fixture, securely installing it to a mounting bracket in the ceiling, and assembling the rest of the light—simple as that. If you’re not sure about installing your own lights, you can always get in touch with a local light installation company to lend a hand.

When hanging a chandelier, the distance from the ceiling depends on the room and height. For standard 8-9 foot ceilings, chandeliers in living areas or bedrooms should hang 7 feet from the floor. In dining rooms, the chandelier should be placed 30-34 inches above the table.

For higher or vaulted ceilings, adjust accordingly, ensuring the chandelier remains balanced and visually appealing. Aim for chandeliers in entryways to be 7 feet from the floor or adjust for high ceilings to make a grand statement. Always consider the room's function and the desired lighting effect to achieve the perfect placement.

A wafer light lasts about 30,000 to 50,000 hours, depending on the quality and usage. Doing the math translates to approximately 10 to 20 years of regular use. LED wafer lights are known for their energy efficiency and longevity, significantly outlasting traditional incandescent or fluorescent bulbs.

Factors such as usage patterns, operating environment, and stability and consistency of the electrical supply influence their life span. Regular use in a residential setting ensures these lights provide long-term, reliable illumination with minimal maintenance.

Some outdoor lighting fixtures are easy to install, like solar pathway lights that don’t need connecting to your electrical system. However, other types of outdoor lighting can be challenging to install, especially if it’s part of a larger electrical system. It’s best to work with a trained electrician for high-voltage outdoor lighting. You might also want to work with a landscaper for installing lighting in high or hard-to-reach areas.
