The cleaners showed up right on time and went right to work.   They have  an excellent steam cleaning system in their van which means all the  mess leaves with them. The whole  project took about three  hours and another three hours for the carpet to dry.

"OMG! Gilbert and Brissa would not give up until they found a solution to my furnace thermostat issue! I was completely clueless and at a point where I had no idea who to hire to fix my dead furnace my contractor left me with. They came in and calmed my fears explained they would try to unravel the fiasco my contractor left me with and they would do their best. Oh my goodness, they worked diligently and methodically to fix my furnace and thermostat. They did not quit when I wanted to throw in the towel and they succeeded and walked me through my Ecobee thermostat set up… they didn’t have to do that, but they did! I cannot stress enough what excellent service, care and talent I experienced watching them tonight. Do yourself a favor and hire them immediately; you will not be sorry, you have my guarantee they will come through for you!"

Central Vacuum Systems FAQs, answered by experts

While caulking is handy for quite a bit of jobs, it’s still limited. Any crack or gap larger than 1/4 inch is best left for a more intensive repair job. When you hire house painters, they should run a thorough check to see what they need to repair before they start the job.

Large repairs that caulking typically won’t do well with include cracks or holes larger than a 1/4 inch, rotted wood, or metal surfaces, such as garage doors.

If your central vacuum has lost suction, you probably have a clog in the system. You can remove a clog yourself using a portable vacuum cleaner or central vacuum maintenance sheets. Stubborn clogs or damage to the system require a specialized technician to repair.

The best way to clean central vacuum pipes is to use a maintenance sheet to dislodge clogs and wipe the inside of the pipes clean. Alternatively, a professional can clean your central vacuum pipes for you.

Whether talking about a whole-house central vacuum or a portable vacuum cleaner, the expected cost of major repair work should always be balanced against its replacement cost. However, excluding high-cost motor replacements or major electrical trouble, repairs on a central vacuum system are typically far less than the cost of purchasing and installing a new one.

Maintaining your central vacuum cleaner is crucial to extending its lifespan. Ensuring the filter is cleaned or changed often is vital to ensuring clogs don’t impact your motor. In addition, inspecting motor brushes regularly and lubricating the engine when needed helps keep it in tip-top shape. Finally, cleaning the central vacuum hose of dirt and debris helps keep clogs at bay, especially if you’ve vacuumed something wet or sticky.
