"John was easy to work with. He was honest and provided his opinion and thoughts but never pushed a decision on us. He was meticulous with measurements and details to ensure the right amount of slope and care. He even took time to fill in some of the small holes in other parts of our aggregate patio with leftover mix. He was also the most cost effective for the job. We have another small patio expansion we'll be doing within the next year or two and will be bringing him back for that."

"Adrian and his crew did a great job regrouting the floor, shower floor and shower walls of our bathroom. They also installed a gorgeous mosaic backsplash in both our kitchen and bathroom. They showed up on time, worked hard and got this large amount of work done in 3 days. We needed a little touch up done in a couple spots after the job was completed and Adrian came out and took care of it. They were also reasonably priced. Very happy with the work and highly recommend them!"

"Arrived when they were scheduled. The entire job done in one day. Was able to use the floors within 48-72 hours. We stayed off the floors for a full 72 hours to ensure they completely cured. Havenâ t had any issues with them. Great crew, excellent job, no mess left behind. I highly recommend Integrity Floors."

"We worked with Ali (sales manager) and Tony (project manager), who took the time to design a project that made sense for our property and our budget, made a number of suggestions and recommendations and were never pushy or tried to "sell" us on something. The crew really went above and beyond to provide top quality workmanship and overall we were in very good hands. Highly recommended!"

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Evenly wetting a wood floor before applying a stain is called water popping. It raises the grain and opens the wood’s pores to absorb more stain. When done properly, it can make the stain look darker and deeper. However, it’s important to evenly wet the floor and let it dry before applying the stain.

While concrete is durable, it’s also a porous material, meaning that spills can damage the material. Not only does sealing safeguard against this issue, but it can also reduce the risk of mold and mildew.

The biggest downside of sealing concrete is that it needs to be resealed every few years. This routine maintenance can be laborious if you do it yourself and expensive if you hire a professional. Beyond that, sealing concrete can make the surface slippery, which can be dangerous with people with mobility issues, young children, or those with pools near their patios.

You can’t paint a foundation like you would the walls in your home; there are a few extra important steps to take. Instead of just busting out the paint, you should clean the surface and fix any impurities before grabbing the brush. Using a paint sprayer to apply sealant and primer will ensure you have the perfect canvas to apply your chosen paint color.

Concrete can take years to fully settle, but interior concrete floors are mostly settled after a year. Shifting and settling can occur throughout your home’s life, but most major settling happens the first few years after the concrete is poured. It’s not uncommon for minor cracks to appear in concrete floors over time—check with a concrete pro to ensure new cracks don’t indicate a structural issue in your home.
