"Made an appointment with Greg and he showed up on time. He came prepared to do a complete home structural inspection but when he learned I only needed the columns and the crawlspace leak inspected, he was very accommodating and said he would not charge me for a complete inspection. I was afraid that the columns may have had termites or carpenter ants and that there was a possibility of a house infestation. I thought about hiring a pest control company to do an inspection but was afraid I would not get an objective report so I went with Sherlock Homes. He looked at the columns and determined the damage was due to wet ants who are only attracted to wet wood. The columns have been absorbing water due to the poor manner in which the builder installed them. There is no infestation but I have to replace the columns. He then looked at the water leak problem in the crawlspace and quickly found the problem was a pressure reducer valve. He made recommendations on how to fix the problem myself and repair the minimal damage. Greg saved me thousands of dollars by not hiring a pest control company and plumber."
