"Pacific Rim CR was extremely responsive when it came to mitigating water damage. They ran tests, removed flooring and dry wall that had been compromised, and dried us out quickly. However, they were not very professional or polite when it came to communicating with our insurance. They also offer reconstruction from the damage. Our experience with the reconstruction portion was terrible. The company was unresponsive for weeks and took months to provide a quote. We had told them twice that we only wanted the damaged area repaired, but they sent an inflated quote to repair the entire downstairs by ripping up all wood floors and replacing them along with drywall, base boards, and paint. They also were extremely dishonest and told us that they spoke with our insurance adjuster and got the inflated quote approved. When we told them we spoke to our adjuster and the quote was not approved as he was on holiday, they then changed their story to say the adjuster's supervisor approved. Again we spoke to our adjuster and this was not true. During this entire interaction, they continued to push us to reconstruct an entire downstairs of 1,500 sq. ft. when the damaged area was only 15 sq ft."

In most cases, drain cleaners will not clear a clogged sewer line, and they’re likely to damage your plumbing. Sewer lines are several inches wide, meaning any material that clogs it will need to be large. Drain cleaner can work on small clogs, but it usually won’t clear a larger one in a sewer main. Drain cleaners can also easily damage and corrode your plumbing with prolonged contact, and a clog will keep the cleaner in contact with the pipes for an extended period. Hire a professional sewer cleaner instead for a safe fix.

In most areas, drain cleaning professionals don’t technically need a license, as they aren’t altering your plumbing system in any way. However, we recommend hiring a drain cleaning professional with a plumbing license and certification. Certified plumbers are more likely to provide professional solutions to drain clogs without damaging your system. They’ll also have the diagnostic tools and experience necessary to remove the clog entirely rather than providing a temporary solution, as a handyperson might. If you want to avoid using a snake to unclog a drain, or if you don’t have one, try vinegar and baking soda. Pour 1 cup of baking soda down the drain, followed by 1 cup of white vinegar. Wait for 15 minutes, and then run hot water (but not boiling water) down the drain to see if the clog is clear. Repeat multiple times as needed.

It can take anywhere from one month to a couple of years for tree roots to grow back in sewer lines.
